300-400 Viewer Average and Partner in 5 Months Here is my Advice

Just yesterday I hit free twitch turbo partner on twitch after roughly 5 months of streaming (somewhat) consistently. Today I'm hoping to share some decent advice and give my own (learned) opinion on some of the frequent yet not always useful tips shared around here.
Before writing this I did a cursory search through the subreddit for frequently asked questions so hopefully this answers most of the ones that I myself have any experience to answer.
My simple request: I'm not going to be posting any links to my stream or anything but if you go out of your way to find it please don't follow/subscribe to the channel unless you are genuinely interested. Thanks big boss.

Should you stream?

If I have to read another thread or comment of a person asking if they should stream I am going to scream. What do you people expect to hear? Yes, please stream the world needs you, you will be rich beyond your wildest dreams and have all the clout to have ever been cloutted.
I know people who usually type out questions like that probably don't read posts but here is a hack I've used to answer my own dumb questions through out the years. Say that shit out loud and respond to it like someone asked you the question. Nine times out of ten, you end up answering it yourself and on the off-chance you actually don't you should have a more actionable question.
Example: Instead of asking "should I stream?" you end up realizing the only thing holding you back is having no mic or something. The question then becomes "I want to stream what's a good cheap mic?". Which is a lot better and doesn't make people want to pelt you with rocks.
For those of you who ask "should I stream or is it a waste of time?" please, I BEG YOU, stop. Most of the shit you do is a waste of time, you either want to stream or don't. Make a decision based on that.

Webcam, do you need one?

This question is asked so often that I see it every time I come on the subreddit. Unsurprisingly, the answer is always the same as well, yes you do.
However I disagree.
I have never streamed with a webcam, not a single time, yet I'm still here and somehow managed to get partnered.
Now, I know why every one parrots the same advice, it is because the people making tip threads, youtube videos, etc., all say to use a webcam. Harris Heller said it once and I'm pretty sure that was enough for the people who copy and paste what he says in text threads here to become their mantra.
The truth is, all that matters is the content. Ask yourself do you do/want to do a lot of react/just chatting content? If so, you probably want a webcam since your content will focus around reacting to content. Lirik doesn't use face-cam because his content is his gameplay and commentary, not his face. Corpse literally blew up and is famous for not showing his face (even though he is still a personality).
I know the whole "Lirik doesn't use a face cam" argument is going to be met with people saying "exception not the rule!!!" but seriously, just use your head. Half the people you watch probably don't need face cams. MoonMoon probably doesn't need a face cam, Critikal didn't have a face cam until he already had over a million subs on youtube, schlatt didn't either, Dream doesn't, AdmiralBahroo doesn't, almost every DBD streamer I watch doesn't, just think for yourself.
The point I'm trying to drive home here is not just that a webcam isn't required, but also you need to look at what you want to create and decide for yourself.
Edit: I saw someone say somewhere that you need a webcam for sponsors. That's cap. I've had a sponsor and nobody has seen this ugly mug.

Equipment in general

People like saying that they need this this and that before they start streaming. This is just stalling. Until last month I hadn't owned a desktop PC my whole life. Before that it was just laptops and using my phone to read chat or look up things. You obviously need SOME equipment to start, i.e. a computer and some form of internet connection, but that doesn't mean you need to pick up a shure, a streamdeck, 4 monitors, 6 consoles, and whatnot.
Here is my setup. Keep in mind I literally just upgraded this last month after saving up for several months:
For those of you who are probably saying "GROSS A PRE-BUILT" remember that part prices are actual aids right now, not to mention the availability of even finding good parts. If you have the cash go pre-built that shit is amazing.
My recommendation:
Stay with your shitty set-up as long as possible but make sure to pick up a good mic first. Big streamers (looking at you Ludwig) shit on the Yeti, but straight facts all you need is to EQ that shit a lil bit and nobody will bat an eye. You don't have to pick up the Yeti (there are lots of cheaper options) but that's just the one I and many others have gotten since it is reliably a good ass mic.
Audio <- chat engagement <- pc upgrade

YouTube

How many people have to tell you bums to focus on YouTube before you do it? Twitch sucks ass. I'll say it, i'm brave. No discoverability, especially to those of you at the very bottom. Make a goddamn YouTube and start pumping out videos, it is not hard.
Ludwig made a power point on how to be a streamer that talks about a few things but the most important point of all was what he said on creating content for stream/YouTube. This isn't the exact timestamp but it do be close: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/896089267?t=01h24m14s
That advice is coming from a top streamer who also has over a million subs on YouTube by almost exclusively taking twitch vods and editing them for YouTube.
As for getting views on your videos here is my advice from my personal experiences:

My understanding of YouTube

So obviously, clickthrough rate and audience retention are the things that are constantly brought up when talking about gaining more views and what not, but I am fairly comfortable in saying that there are other metrics that you should be paying attention to.
Let me hit you with a something that would make Dream shake in his boots. I don't subscribe to anyone on YouTube. *gasp*
The reason for that being, I almost always have the videos I want to see on my home page. I never have to go, "wonder if x YouTuber made a video" since YouTube knows I watch and enjoy their stuff. The question for most people being, how does YouTube know what people like and how does it suggest it to them? Basically, by seeing how often people engage with your content AND also what type of content you create. (although keep in mind, youtube tries to throw new videos at you a lot as well, these are usually in-line with content you engage with though)
For engagement, think of it as like affinity points in a video game but in reverse. Before you get to bang that smoking hot sim, you got to woo them. Every time someone likes your video they get a point, every time they comment they get two, every subscription counts as like 10, watching an entire video might be 20, etc. Obviously, these are made up values but I hope you follow what I'm putting down here. Once they get enough points you start showing up more in their home page.
I know this because I have a different account on my phone that doesn't have the same suggestions as my main account because I watch different things on my PC than my phone. However, I do like to look at the comments while I'm taking a dump or something. Problem was, my videos were rarely every recommended. I solved this easily by liking a couple videos. I didn't even watch them, just liked and read comments. LITERALLY NOT EVEN SUBSCRIBED AND I GET NOTIFICATIONS ON MY PHONE SOMETIMES WHEN A VIDEO DOES WELL!
In other words, by getting people to like and comment on your videos you are almost guaranteeing they see future videos from you.
Now, keep in mind, engagement is only a small portion of the whole pie. And even though you might engage with a content creator often, there is still a chance you miss some of their videos because of one other reason, the content's genre.

Content Genre

You might have noticed this phenomenon on various different creators YouTubes, but sometimes they create a video that bombs. Usually, this happens when they create something outside of their niche. This could be as simple as changing games, or as radical as changing the entire direction of the channel. Even if you engage like crazy with a creator, if they change the content enough, you won't get that shit recommended to you.
This is the main reason some creators have several channels and why some even get pigeonholed to one type of content. The reality of it is, if you build your audience on one piece of content and then want to change it, you will be fighting an uphill battle. One of the best ways to fight that is to diversify early OR better yet, emphasize your personality over the content. Jschlatt shits views and he does whatever the hell he wants really. Same goes for jacksepticeye, markiplier, Ludwig, Critikal, XQC, and numerous other creators.
That being said, doing one game/genre isn't a bad strategy either. A metric fuck ton of OfflineTv's videos are the same game. DisguisedToast played Hearthstone on repeat, then switched to TFT, THEN switched to among us, and his videos absolutely kill. Valkyrae is one of the biggest streamers period and all she does is play/upload among us and rust. Then of course we have all the minecraft streamers too.
It's really up to you to decide, but I'd recommend going towards personality content since that allows the most flexibility.

Other Social Media (Twitter, IG, etc)

Lots of people here seem to think that they don't have time to do YouTube or some other BS they think up as an excuse, so they think that twitter, instagram, tiktok, etc are all ways to grow. Trust me, they are not good ways to grow.
These are all stupid treadmills that trick you into thinking you're doing something when in reality you aren't moving the needle by much if by any at all. Posting ten dumb tweets and reposting memes on IG seem "productive" if you frame it in the light of "content creation" but the two people that see all of these things don't really give a shit. Spend that time working on a video for YouTube.
Don't give me this "I don't have time" bullshit. Do small videos and work yourself up, become better and faster. Perfectionism is a cute word for procrastination.
Ok, now that I took a shit on them so hopefully, you won't grind on them all day, these are still ways to grow and are important. Having multiple platforms for fans to communicate and engage with you is always a good idea, but don't spread yourself so thin early on when nobody knows who you are. Prioritize the thing that will get eighty percent of your results.
I personally have a discord for people to come and chat in. Thing is, I had no intention of doing so because I don't really use discord that much. The only reason it exists is that people kept asking for it in the comments on my YouTube videos so I made one.
TL;DR: Don't put the cart before the horse :)
Edit: Oh ya I forgot to mention. TikTok is trash for growth. I won't mention names cuz that's probably toxic(?) but there is someone signed on luminosity who has 690k TikTok followers and 95k YouTube subscribers who barely cracks 100 views on Twitch and has a hard time getting over 1k on YouTube. So don't go thinking TikTok leads to immense fame ya darn kids

Hosting/Raiding

Getting hosted/raided means actual jack. I remember pretty clearly when I had like ten viewers, I got hosted by someone with twenty-five or something. I think only one person ended up saying anything in the chat to me about it and although some stayed for the entire stream, by the time I went live again I lost all of the people who were in the host. This seems to be something others have mentioned as well, you won't retain almost any views from hosts/raids.
Edit: Please do try raiding/hosting or otherwise networking with other streamers at least once. Your mileage may vary and it could end up blowing up your channel. Who knows?
Edit edit: Having something that you can do during the stream is huge when getting hosted/raided. Most of the time, if not all of the time, a streamer is ENDING their stream and sending viewers to you rather than timing it for your own content. So if you are doing something uninteresting or are in the middle of something you are going to get less retention than if you did something crazy to impress the newcomers. In other words, having a strategy for hosting/raiding growth is key.

Speaking on stream

This seems to be something a lot of people struggle with on Twitch since so many people ask how to do it when nobody is watching/chatting. Coming from someone who had this problem, the answer is pretty simple, talk for the content not the chat.
What I mean by this is you should be focusing on your content more than the chat. Since I play games, what I do is just say some shit about whats happening on screen and sometimes say something that is hopefully funny. Pick up a garbage item? Say something about how garbage the item is, ez.
If you're streaming to NO VIEWERS you shouldn't be streaming to stream anyway. What you should be doing is making a YouTube video in the hopes of getting viewers to watch your stream. The only way to do that is to have good content planned out that should effectively act as your script. Again, Ludwigs stream on this is good (it'll probably be a video soon) so make sure to check it out.
A more recent problem I've had was just how much I engaged with chat (suffering from success I know). When I went to edit the videos I had to cut large swathes of the video because I was just chatting to people. Make sure to avoid this when you are actually trying to get content out for YouTube as it can mess up the flow of a video and make it harder to edit. You still can chat with people just make sure not to go overboard. Again, Ludwig is a perfect example of this, just look at his videos and streams and notice the difference between the two.

Streaming as a job/hobby

I hate this dumb argument of streaming isn't your hobby or twitch isn't your job. You have 24 hours in the day, subtract 8 for sleeping and depending on your job, 9 for work. All that extra time can be spent doing whatever the fuck you want. Want to get big and make money streaming? Do work. Want to just stream while you're playing games anyway? Do that.
IF YOU WANT TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL AT SOMETHING YOU PUT IN THE AMOUNT OF EFFORT REQUIRED TO DO SO! So stop telling people it has to be a hobby or it has to be a job. It can be either for christ's sake.

Partner difference

I have a checkmark which makes me a better person.
No, but seriously, partner doesn't really do much other than add more emote slots and some quality options. Also, you don't gain extra cash as a partner either. I don't have the mystical bounty board or god-tier split, just the checkmark to flex baby.

Opinion on affiliate

Devin Nash made a video about how affiliate is a scam, which is kinda true but only for people with no viewers. Having the sub button is huge and even when I was small small, affiliate gave me a couple hundred bucks a month for no effort on my part. Patreon is probably better though, no lie.

Twitch "grind"

If you stream 5+ hours a day without making content that lives somewhere else please form a neat line so I can smack you all. People saying they have no time drives me nuts, but when they also "grind" all day AND say that, it makes me want to punch air.
  1. Stream YouTube friendly content
  2. Stop stream and edit content
  3. Upload and plug twitch in the video
  4. repeat
That is the only "grind" you should be on. Affiliate is stupid if the 3 viewers you have are all just you on a different ipad.

Luck

You know what? Maybe PewDiePie got lucky and that's how he is such a big YouTuber. Maybe early twitch streamers got all their views because they were early adopters. Or maybe these people only got lucky because they showed up and actually put the effort in.
There are plenty of videos on my channel that looked like flops at first. They got like a couple of hundred views and didn't do well. However, after continuously publishing, a whole bunch of them ended up blowing up and becoming some of the most-watched. Without publishing more videos they would have ended up dead in the water. Consistency > luck.
I don't believe too much in luck when it comes to doing very simple things (LIKE MAKING A YOUTUBE VIDEO) but you literally cannot win the lottery if you do not purchase a ticket, it's that simple.

Editing Software

A couple of people asked this so I thought I should add it here. I use davinci resolve for my videos. Previously, I used hitfilm or something like that I can't quite remember the name, but I had to switch because they don't allow you to have split audio channels (i.e. one for desktop audio and one for mic audio).
I've literally never touched any paid software like premier or anything because, again, I'm a cheap ass.

What should you upload to YouTube?

Seriously just look at Ludwig, smallant, DisguisedToast, literally every top Twitch streamer with a YouTube. All three of the people I just mentioned are over one million subs on YT and are top streamers, so they are definitely doing something right.
In terms of off-stream content, guides are king. If you're a small YT channel with ZERO subs you can still get thousands of views by hitting the search algorithm of YT. My first 3 videos were uncut gameplay, guide video, guide video, in that order. Guess which ones have tens of thousands of views and which has less than a thousand? Guide videos are insane for small channels.
Edit: Actually, let's just call it searchable content. Searchable content is king

Ending notes

I think that's about it for this post. Hopefully, I covered everything although I doubt I did. If you have any questions I'll try my best to answer them and will probably edit the good ones into the post.

I went through 700 reddit comments and collected 131 ADHD pro-tips!

So there was that awesome Reddit thread with a bunch of ADHD'ers sharing real tips that have changed their life.
I thought it was a great change from most advice on the internet which is written by non-ADHD'ers (and it's painfully obvious that it is).
I read through the 700+ comments and paraphrased, merged and categorised all the tips.

The 131 tips are split into the following categories:

General

🌟 My Favourite: Enjoy the journey more than the destination, don’t be in a hurry to finish something you are doing, but always at least do something small everyday. Life is not a race, rather, it is an accumulation of smaller improvements to oneself. ~ (u/ksettle)
People are in such a rush these days… You can’t expect to become a superhuman overnight. Focus on sustainability first and enjoy the journey.

Cleaning

🌟 My Favourite: Listen to podcasts/audiobooks when doing chores. My excitement to listen to a new episode of my favorite podcast motivates me to do boring stuff like dishes or laundry. (I personally listen to podcasts) ~ (u/dani-tp)
Cleaning became so easy once I started using a “side” to stimulate my brain. I’m mostly watching TV shows when I clean right now (this also works for cooking!) .

Memory

🌟 My Favourite: Use Spaced Repetition to study for your exams, remember things about people in your life, and literally everything you can possibly make a flashcard for. ~ (u/beatadhd)
Is it narcisstic to put my own tip as a favourite? Well who cares, it works! Spaced repetition is fantastic and honestly feels like cheating*. There are a lot of free tools out there which work great. I’m currently using my own private tool* 😉

Time Blindness

🌟 My Favourite: Get an electric toothbrush with a timer. ADHD people have time blindness and it’ll make sure you brush for at least two minutes. ~ (u/insaxon)
Yes. Two minutes can feel like two hours for me. Or I’ll brush for 20 seconds and think five minutes has passed. I can’t trust my brain, so I started using an electric toothbrush with a timer

Distractions

🌟 My Favourite: Use a noise-cancelling headset and listen to music/white noise/brown noise. Enables hyperfocus and blocks out distractions (“I don’t regret getting diagnosed late, but I do regret getting noise cancelling headphones that late in life.”) ~ (u/rn7889)
Stop scrolling right now and go buy the noise-cancelling headset. A noise-cancelling headset + some noise like music/brown noise is essential if you have ADHD. Feel free to thank me later once your life changes.
If the headset isn't in your budget: Brown noise + earphones will get you 80% of the way there.

Getting Things Done

🌟 My Favourite: Body doubling - if you need to do some work that requires focus without much fun, have someone in the room with you. They could be working too, or not. Just having them there makes everything just a little more interesting and a little more accountable. ~ (u/Creebjeez)
I feel like a lot of people are missing some sort of accountability system in their lives. I don’t do body doubling but I use Beeminder to keep me accountable.

Emotional Dysregulation

🌟 My Favourite: You’re allowed to let things go. Forget irrelevant things and forgive yourself. Ignore the awkward thing you did last week. Life will move on. ~ (u/bitetheboxer, u/optimisticaspie)
Stop hating yourself. Don’t look at the future. Don’t look at the past. Look at the present. I used to always hate myself for being so unproductive. I realised how pointless that was and I started to focus on improving myself in the present.

Sleep

🌟 My Favourite: Set two alarms when you get up in the morning. One to get out of bed and one for your medication. e.g: 5:30 AM wake up and take medication and then fall back to bed. By your 6AM alarm you’ll have waken up and your meds will have kicked in ~ (u/BizzarduousTask)
What a great lifehack. I’ve been doing this the past few days (except I don’t wake up at 6AM) - it works pretty well. Also I throw my phone on the other side of the room so it forces me to get out of bed.

Relationships

🌟 My Favourite: For maintaining eye contact: Imagine a red dot on someone’s nose for intense focus. Bridge of the nose for paying attention. ~ (u/asmugone)
Haven’t tried this one but I used to have trouble with eye contact a few years ago so this stood out to me. I’m pretty good with eye contact now, but I’ll be trying it over the next few weeks anyway.

Work

🌟 My Favourite: Learn to say no to taking on things that you know may cause you stress and excess pressure just because it’s money. It is not worth it, just put the boundaries that will save your mental health in the first place and you won’t have to deal with the fallout later. The more you do it, the easier it becomes. ~ (u/Somewhereonabike)
God yes… ADHD people have a dangerous habit of overcommitting to stuff. Personally I think I just forget that I’m already working on X, Y and Z. Sustainability is important - don’t overcommit.

School

🌟 My Favourite: Visit your school's inclusivity and disability team. They will hopefully have policies for helping people with ADHD ~ (u/beatadhd)
This is something I never took advantage of while at University, but I probably should have. A few assignment extensions when my meds stopped working would have saved me from countless all nighters…

Executive Function

🌟 My Favourite: On tough days. Use the 1-thing theory. Just try and accomplish just one-thing for that day. e.g. Clean the kitchen. ~ (u/soggysocks63, u/GoodGuyVik)
A bit less life-hacky compared to the others but I’ve found that getting started is a lot easier when you only have a single priority.

Nutrition/Medication

🌟 My Favourite: Use a 7-day pill organiser with AM/PM slots and put your medication and supplements there. ~ (u/ImprovedMeyerLemon)
I know a lot of people have issues with remembering if they took their medication. This is an easy, simple and cheap fix.

Type me my conclusions sle lie lse I’ve been said to be not officially typed as see and IEE but I don’t know if I see them.

Okay here we go I found this on a thread so I’ll use it I’ll leave where they found it.
“I used Robotee Deither's Type Questionnaire found here: https://www.reddit.com/JungianTypology/comments/aal8ni/robotee_deithers_type_questionnaire/
Q0: Disclaim now if you have any mental health problems or are in a particular mental state (sad, annoyed, etc) which may bias or change your answers. This will allow typists to make adjustments.
Nah, doing fine. Q1: Why do you want to learn more about your type? Also, why are you interested in personality typology in general?
I am interested in typology because I find the theory and the entire thing fascinating. I find that typology can help one grow in their strengths and weaknesses and it has tremendous practical uses understanding one’s modus-operandi, understanding why you do things and how you can best utilize and direct your energy and talents. It also seems fascinating as well so why not? I found it through western jung and I’ve been curious ever since. I have found the theory confusing a bit when I have studied it more thoroughly and deeply I use to marry it to mbti and that was a disaster. I am an mbti entj by the way, if that helps any.
Why do I want to know my type so desperately? Because I don’t know it so I want to know. And so I am now on a mission to locate it. I think that’s the best use of it right not just theory suspended in mid air and uselessly unpragmatic. If you can’t even apply socionics and use it then what’s the use if you can’t work with the theory it’s nice but then becomes stuffy and useless.
Q2: Work/life balance: do you use a concept like this? Do you think that there is a distinction between "work" and "life"? Explain why or why not. I think I struggle with this even if work is research on the internet or like school. I am often all work and no play I keep busy I take a break and do some research because I can’t take it anymore but usually I just plow through. you can call me a workaholic usually. I stay up late to learn and research and I devote most of my energy to school I think I would work too. The only job I held you couldn’t take work home but if I could I would I think I was suppose to do some tech training and I was pretty studious with it and worked hard on it except it was difficult because it was so routine and boring. Training audio for how to use a computer program. But I worked pretty hard on it. Sometimes to the sacrifice of sleep but sleep is almost a foreign concept to me. I worked long hours I only was suppose to be very much a part timer 8 hours every week I believe but I elected to volunteer my time and easily worked at least 30 to 40 hours a week. I had some issues at the end with the school/company so worked less I wasn’t allowed to challenge any of my clients so my heart wasn’t in it. I wasn’t allowed to tell people the truth and just had to baby them and do everything for them, even though if I knew they should be able to do it themselves. I initially challenged everyone but after a few arguments with my boss it didn’t end very well. I wanted to help them be more successful and independent.
Q3: What do you look for in your friends? What qualities do you like having in your friends and what qualities do you not like? Explain why you like and dislike said qualities. If I new or had any requirements and i said I did I’d be lying. I never know how to answer these things what makes a friend what do you want in a friend maybe want in a boyfriend? Oh I don’t know. I can throw out words but at that point I’d be manufacturing things and it would be forced and not natural and probably not true. So I say I don’t know. My true friends in the true sense of the word and not friends as like I hang out with other people for other reasons more like special friends I sometimes hang out with people who have other mental issues to give them company but most of them are pretty intellectual and like discussing ideas that are pragmatic and real politics, history, current events, theology, psychology, etc.... I can talk about anything as long as it’s intellectual sometimes either weather but not like hey it’s 70 degrees here or 55 or whatever and it’s raining but like weather patterns how the weather work, meteorology. History or I like to listen to older people tell history. Health and sex sex and health ed type of thing like medicine, prventitive health, sexual health. we talk about stuff like that. Usually serious substantial, and conversational. I don’t know what else to say. If I don’t know I like listening and asking questions.
Q4: Do you behave differently with strangers or in professional settings compared to people you know or in casual settings? Explain the differences and explain possible reasons why those reasons exist. If there are little to no differences, explain possible reasons why there are little to no differences.
Not really I am me and that’s about it. I may be working more and focused on work at work and talk about work I suppose but I can turn up at say the staff room or the social spaces and be more social and extroverted. I tend to be blunt and can dominate and direct the conversation I am kind of brash and can joke around and stuff.
I treat people I know and don’t know probably as equally I always want to know more about people I don’t know to see what maybe we can discuss effort on getting to know them. But generally no.
Q5: When other people talk about you, how do they usually describe you and the way you act? How do other people say they perceive you? Do not talk about your opinion on how people perceive you (Q6).
Depends who you ask Intellectual, friendly, wise, refreshing, voice stuff that others don’t want to say, bold, brave, daring, hard as nails, inquisitive, ask good questions, good head on my shoulders, ambitious, magnetic, charismatic, modest, many good qualities, strong personality, a character, first impression was that I was a asshole but turned out okay, talkative, go getter, bitch, rude, knowledgeable, helpful, trust worthy, in charge of elevating the conversation, you always make people think, truthful, boring because I didn’t play the drama games, you tell them the truth, can put opinions out too forcefully or bluntly/too harshly, have a lot of good things to say, you know your stuff, prepared, organized, diligent, hard working,
confident, eccentric, capable, independent, really smart, impatient, observant, perceptive, eager, good memory, good student, good person, successful, resourceful, pushy, Maybe I missed something?
Q6: How do you think other people perceive you? What do you want other people to see in you? When others hear the name [Your Name], what do you want them to think of? Do you (or do you feel that you) are projecting a "persona"? Why or why not? Do you think you projecting (or not) your persona is a good or bad thing? Explain why.
I don’t know if I care that much honestly maybe I hope they see me as intellectual/intelligent, truthful, wise, capable, independent, stuff like that.
I am just me. I don’t know if I project a persona. I think it’s good not to pretend who you are. Just be yourself.
Q7: When interacting socially, do you take note of who interacts with who? That is to say, do you take note of the "cliques" or "groups" that form in environments such as work or school? Does this knowledge or this not knowing factor into your decision making in social interaction?
I don’t go looking for it no. But I very naturally notice it want to or not. But I also don’t care I try to avoid the cliques and the drama and the bullshit that goes on in there. I very much dislike drama. The cliques usually don’t like me.
Q8: What qualities or values do you value or want to see in yourself? Do you meet those qualities or values? Why do you value those qualities and values?
Intellectual, capable, hard working, smart, educated, wise, I informed, politically informed. Pragmatic, practical. Have common sense. I think I meet them yes I try very hard to be these things. Or stuff like that naturally am I guess.
I think knowledge is power, and the more you know the better you can act in the world. It’s just good to be informed and politically too. I don’t know what else to say.
Q9: Imagine your ideal house. What does it look like? What rooms are there and how are they arranged? What amenities does it have? You are free to design a house either for only yourself or for family/friends.
I don’t have very much requirements maybe Victorian era style a library and office room and a studio room. The more I think of it I almost don’t want the library. It’s almost a dream. But not something I think I’d enjoy or want I am totally blind. So I don’t read print books and the best way forward is e-books and I have a sizable library having print books would be a waste haha! I won’t use them they’d almost be decoration and collect dust. I thought about lending stuff out or having people read things or showing them when they come over but haven’t actually done this and lending out books is rare and when I have they don’t come back and then I don’t because I have no one to do it with.
A fireplace would be kind of neat but then I don’t know if I’d ever use it haha! I have read too much Brit lit I don’t know why but the idea of hot chocolate next to a fire seems pretty cool don’t ask. Haha! I don’t know. But I don’t usually do a lot of relaxing and probably wouldn’t actually do this. So a plain house with a couple of rooms for office and bedroom and in the office I can do a small studio that would be probably good.
Q10: What hobbies or creative pursuits do you take in your free time? Why did you decide to take up these hobbies or creative pursuits? In what way do these impact your life?
Typology is a huge one I find it interesting and see question 1.
Politics/current events/news/debating it talking about it. Is there anything more important then an informed citizenry? I find it’s interesting I like having a part to do with my society. I don’t want Washington, D.C. or whatever place I live in to just make me rules and it’s like okay follow them. No thanks I want to participate what do they say if you dont’ vote you don’t have a right to complain. I like reading about politics too and political theory I find it informs me and I find power to be interesting. I’ve always found leadership and power to be fascinating and I always want to be in it.
Reading books learning and researching. I have a library of over 1000 books to about 1100 books. I like reading different genres from history to politics to economics, to psychology, theology, typology, sociology, you name it I have a few fiction classic novels and poetry but I by far like nonfiction. I would say a lot of these are my hobbies as well or interests and I love reading and discussing them. I have a few dystopian and political fictions. 1984, atlas shrugged, brave new world, animal farm, etc.... I also like historical stuff that’s accurate, all quiet on the western front and Sherlock Holmes. I like the more science science fiction like Douglas adams and probably robert heinlein. My fiction stuff is limited and I don’t read a ton of fiction. I definitely read not that much, definitely want to more I am also a slow reader.
I like to explore the city and travel I find it’s fun to be out and about and in the action and trying new restaurants going to coffee shops and even reading a book there, meeting new people, seeing historical sights. Last summer I went for the historical east coast tour and went to 6 states pa NJ Ny VA MD and Washington DC. I wanted to see either historical things or places of politics like UN, the White House, capital building, Statue of Liberty, the liberty bel, the us mint, library of congress, bureau of engraving, etc.... I did this in 2 weeks I would like to go back to do boston the the sites in boston. Like the boston tea party and the harbor. I also like figuring out where stuff is and getting to know a city. I use to then soundscape/vlog or audio blog my journey. I haven’t done this in a while it’s interesting and cool to share it.
I like tinkering with tech and audio equipment. I find it technical and fascinating. I do like sharing my knowledge and how useful and interesting computers and modern electronics is interesting.
I like theology and apologetics and discussing it but that can be blended in with the books topic.
Q11: When beginning a romantic relationship, what are you most afraid of happening (with respect to the romantic relationship)? If you have never been in a romantic relationship, imagine.
Controlling men. People who won’t let me be free or who may control my actions, tell me what to like who to be who to like. Abusive men. Cheating men. I think I am asexual and aromantic so sex actually repulses me and someone who would force me in to this. I am a pretty strong character and strong woman so not letting me be independent and speak my mind. I want a guy to be okay if we share power or even let me dominate the relationship.
Q12: Related to Q11: describe your ideal partner and what traits or qualities they have. Describe their body and demeanor. Do the things you expect and want in a partner parallel what you expect and want from yourself? I have none.
Q13: Also pertaining to romance: now that you have elaborated on your ideal partner, describe your ideal relationship with that partner. How will you and them interact? What will daily life be like? Why do you want this life? Hmm. Don’t know.
Q14: What is your relationship with money? Do you value money? What are your spending habits? Do you try to save money? Do you see yourself as good at handling money? I am between frugal and wasteful more on the frugal side but don’t know if I am super good at saving money. I am not a spend thrift either. I don’t want to be homeless and starving poor or live in the ghettos. But I don’t need to be rich and live in a palace and have 5000000000000000 dollars. I want a decent home or whatever place to live and not living from check to check. To have some over enough. Save up some to buy things I save money and buy useful thing I think pragmatically do I need this stuff? What would be the use of this stuff? I like good quality so usually save. My stuff isn’t exactly cheap people asked me how I got everything I have. Oh I save up and buy it. I do some research on what I want what is good quality and will last and I usually keep these things for as long as I can possibly. I have a good iMac that’s 6 or so years old and works like a charm iphone 10 and that’s from like 2 or 3 years ago. If I don’t need it I don’t buy it. I may think of buying mics though for my studio I wouldn’t say I am minimalist and frugal either. I have speakers and computer all over here. And braille screens. Usually decent quality if I find out it’s not good quality I’ll be happy to buy a more expensive item and save up and plan for it. I like durable things that last and can be worth the time and money. I buy warmer cups of decent quality I look for the biggest bang for my buck but high quality not too cheap. I don’t care about fancy look or if it is the nicest or if it’s the best brand the name doesn’t matter to me. I look for practicality utility quality stuff like that.
I would say I am fairly good with money I don’t have enough to save I want to many things electronically. I always like to buy new books that I can keep and read. I would say I just cleared out my subscriptions to what’s pragmatic and what I really need. Yes, I think money has value.
Q15: What is your fashion sense? What do you usually wear when going out? Do you see yourself as being fashionable? Do you care about fashion and the manner with which you present yourself to others?
Here’s maybe my blindness haha! But I know blind people who care also who care about make up but what’s fashion anyway? Hahaha! No I don’t care whatever I grab randomly out of the closet, sweat pants or pants and a long sleeve shirt no I don’t care usually fairly plain.
Q16: The bedroom is arguably the most personal space one has. So, describe the state of your bedroom. Is it organized or messy? How are the things arranged? What objects are in it? Decorations? Do you particularly care about the state of your bedroom or your living spaces in general? My bedroom is pretty organized if not very organized and put away organization is important to me. my room must be organized. Have to keep it organized. Clean yes, but can be dusty. I am minimal with decoration I have stuff that makes it look like a museum mostly historical decorations I have a bunch of rocks surrounding my google speaker but I don’t care. I have a few religious items a a tearbottle and a shadow box that’s christian it displays the verse about gathering the outcasts.
I joke my bedroom is a cross between a computer lab a studio and a bedroom. Haha! Lots of electronics and wires. The messiest part of my room is under my desk all the wiring under it. I have all three smart home devices google, alexa and HomePod, I have like 3 computers I have one in the corner probably the only use is scrap metal. I have an iphone a old iPod I don’t use may have cracked an ipad an Apple Watch which I wear, I have about 10 ios mics and three studio mics. I don’t record all that much but they were interesting to investigate, there’s a broken keyboard somewhere. I’ve got a white cane collection. Too in the corner. I’ve always had a lot of cleaning supplies I buy that in bulk I am surprised target didn’t limit me from doing that last time haha! You really know you’re a techy too when you have a drawerful of wires.
Q17: When you feel upset, what do you usually do to make yourself feel bettewhat do you do in general when you are upset? "Upset" I am defining to be "state of extremely feeling a/some negative emotion(s)".
Listen to music sometimes lay down and take deep breadths especially when angry. When upset or depressed just some music. Sometimes I call someone and subject them to my rant. Post an angry rant non-specific on facebook. Haha! Sometimes I call someone and angry sarcastic joking mocking things and people. Crude humor some of it a lot of it is political humor.
Q17: Now that you have finished the questionnaire, do you have any notes or anything to add? You may talk about how you felt taking the questionnaire and the experience of answering the questions. This may also be used to help select a type for you. Nope.

Type me mbti I think I could actually be estp or entj but I don’t think I have ti but a very strong se but see what you get. I realized recently how good my se is.

I was going to change the other one but couldn’t change the title and it’s probably good and healthy to have a different space for mbti and socionics. So I realized I could probably fit beren’s estp as well. I just realised how good I am at se.
Here’s the post.

I have a few dystopian and political fictions. 1984, atlas shrugged, brave new world, animal farm, etc.... Type me socionics? I think I am sle, lie or lse, people have thought I am see and iee I don’t know. Maybe... maybe not can’t see fi but I am open minded. But if see or iee I want a good reason for fi. Maybe I just don’t get it.

Nope.

A week in Milwaukee on a $172,000 Joint Income

Basic Info:
Age: 29
Occupation: Administrative Coordinator, Healthcare
Fiance’s (C.) age: 35
Fiance’s occupation: First Officer, Commercial Airline
First Money Diary: https://www.refinery29.com/en-us/administrative-coordinator-milwakee-wi-salary-money-diary
Since then, we moved into our house, C. got a raise, we combined our finances, and postponed our wedding due to coronavirus.
Section 1: Assets & Debt:
Retirement Balance: $175,000 pre-COVID 19. We’ve been scared to check since, but I’d say it’s probably down about 25%. I contribute 11% with an 8% employer match. C. usually maxes out his contributions, but has taken a break from contributing to rebuild our savings after buying our house. His employer still automatically contributes 12%.
Savings Accounts: $26,480 - about $8k of this is set aside for our wedding, which was supposed to be in May but is now postponed to November.
Checking Accounts: $1430. We put most of our purchases on credit cards and pay them off in full each month.
Student Loan Debt: $80,000 - all mine. I have a BFA from a private school. I originally took out $107,000 and oh boy, do I regret it. This covered all my tuition and rent. I had some scholarships as well and worked two jobs during college. C.’s loans are completely paid off.
Cars & Boat: Paid Off
House: We bought our house 5 months ago. $249k left on the mortgage, our down payment and closing costs were about $26k.
Section 2: Income:
My salary: $52,000 + extra $2000ish a year from part time job.
My paycheck post deductions - $2950, 1x a month. I usually get an extra $100-350 from my part time job, but am currently not working there due to cut hours from safer-at-home orders.
Fiance’s salary: $120,000 base minimum. His pay is $139 per hour and he is guaranteed 72 hours a month that make up his base salary. He picks up additional trips each month. The past four months, he’s had well over 100 hours. He typically works a bunch in the winter months, and then cuts back in the summertime. He is paid twice monthly and it varies depending on the number of hours flown. In March, his take home pay was about $14k after taxes/deductions. This was a very high month.
Section 3: Monthly Expenses
Mortgage: We pay $1797. Our mortgage is technically $2137, but we have a tenant that pays $550 a month for a 1 bedroom garden apartment. We pay an extra $180 towards our mortgage every month.
Water: average $75 a month
Electric: average $125 a month
Student loans - $263 - this is my minimum payment based on my income. We will get more aggressive with it later this year after the wedding.
Health, Dental, Vision: $100 for me, $70 for C. - both taken pre-tax directly from our paychecks.
iToll: $20
Cell Phones: $134
Netflix: $17
Hulu/Spotify Package- $9.99
Apple Music: $12
Internet - $73
Life Insurance: $20
Gym: $100 - currently on hold.
Pet Insurance: $42
Yacht Club Membership: $200
Flight Club: $250 a month - We just started renting a small four seater plane from a friend. We plan to use it for weekend getaways, as well as to volunteer for an animal rescue organization called Pilots n Paws.
Savings and Donations: vary month to month
Section 4: Annual Expenses:
Homeowners insurance: $980
Car Insurance: $1016 for two cars, we pay every 6 months.
Costco: $52
Skillshare - $99 - I accidentally got charged for this when I forgot to cancel a free trial. I like it, but won’t continue it next year.
YNAB - $88
Winter boat storage/Summer Slip fee: $2000 - C. bought a sailboat about 6 years ago. A couple of friends usually contribute to the slip fee over the summer and in return, we let them use the boat whenever they want, so we will probably end up getting some of this money back.
Other regular expenses - Our dog typically goes to doggie daycare a few times a week and we buy the 20 pack for $650, which would typically last 2-3 months. Since I’ve been working from home, she is only going about once every two weeks just to keep her socialized and burn off some energy.
Sunday, April 12th
8:00 AM - C. gets up to take care of our dog, L. and get ready for work. He is flying to Fort Myers and back today. I get up a little after him, brush my teeth, put my contacts in, and take care of our pet bunny. We make toast for breakfast.
9:30 AM - I place an order with our local zero-waste store (The Glass Pantry). I get shampoo, conditioner, reusable produce bags, and Swedish dishcloths ($41.09). C. logs into our Home Warranty to submit a claim. Our washer is pretty old and now it keeps shaking violently no matter what size load we put in ($100). I go to the basement and disinfect it for the repair man coming tomorrow. C. leaves for work. $141.09
10:30 AM - I take L. on a 2 mile walk and call my parents to wish them a Happy Easter. Once we get back, I heat up leftover wings for lunch.
12:00 PM - The Glass Pantry emails me to let me know my order is ready for contactless pickup. I also need to do our grocery run, so I grab my lysol wipes, gloves, and face mask on my way out the door. At the store, I get bell peppers, jalapenos, kale, spinach, asparagus, edamame, rice, cheese, butter, flour, sugar, chocolate chips, frozen waffles, chips, salsa, black beans, popcorn, chicken broth, crackers, diet coke, and la croix ($84.52). Once I get home, I wipe down all our groceries and take a shower. $84.52
6:00 PM - After spending the afternoon deep cleaning the house and playing in the backyard with L., I decide it’s time for dinner. I make a big batch of soup with black beans, corn, bell pepper, jalapeno, and shredded chicken. I top it off with some hot sauce and eat it with a side of tortilla chips. After I eat, I bullet journal and read while I wait for C. to get home. (Currently Reading: Little Gods by Meng Jin).
8:15 PM - C. gets home and we watch the new Tiger King episode while eating some of the cake I baked yesterday. I do my nighttime routine (contacts out, cleanser, toner, retinol serum, moisturizer, brush teeth, waterpik + floss. I am currently using the Versed line from Target for my skincare and really like it) and go to bed around 10:30 or 11.
Daily Total: $225.61
Monday, April 13th
7:30 AM - C. and I both get up and go through the normal pet care/morning routine. I brush my teeth, put my contacts in, and then wash my face and put on moisturizer. I typically wear sunscreen, foundation, powder, and mascara everyday, but am currently enjoying makeup free days. I make two waffles and login at 8 for work. No one in my office is a fan of the video call, so all of our conference calls are just on the phone and don’t require any effort in my appearance.
9:30 AM - C. leaves for work. He is doing the same Fort Myers trip as yesterday.
12:15 PM - I heat up some leftover soup, grab a diet coke, and eat while working. I prefer to eat and work at the same time and take a break for a walk or workout. C. packs most of his meals for work, so he eats leftovers in between flights.
1:30 PM - I take a break for a quick at home arms and abs workout from Kayla Itsine’s BBG program. I don’t have any workout equipment at home, so I use wine bottles as my weights. Afterwards, I decide I should finally get dressed for the day (why, yes, I am still in my pajamas!) so I rinse off and put on jeans and a t-shirt. I get back to work and prepare for my 3 pm conference call.
4:00 PM - I have a tele-therapy appointment as soon as my conference call ends. I am currently doing the Employee Assistance Program through work, so I do not have to pay anything yet. I haven’t decided if I will continue after my 6 free sessions or not. I have generalized anxiety and most of my immediate family has some sort of mental health issue or addiction. It can be difficult to navigate and I want to do a better job communicating with my family, as well as set better boundaries.
5:00 PM - The washer repair man comes so I take L. outside to play in the backyard to get out of his way. Once he finishes, I make myself a salad with spinach, roasted red peppers, chicken, cashews, cheese, and olive oil. I text our tenant to let him know the washer is fixed and call my mom just to chat. I feed the pets and log back into work for a few minutes to send an email I’ve been overthinking all day. I reward myself with some ice cream (for my Milwaukee folks - Scratch Caramel & Brownie - highly recommend) and curl up on the couch to watch last week’s episode of Little Fires Everywhere. I eat the entire pint because that’s just who I am as a person.
8:45 PM - C. gets home. He stopped for gas on the way ($11.59). He plays computer games with his friends online and I catch up on Law and Order: SVU. I’m a wimp and typically only watch it when he is home so I don’t get spooked. We go to bed around midnight. $11.59
Daily total: $11.59
Tuesday, April 14th
7:30 AM - My alarm goes off but I am not ready to get up yet. We scroll through social media for a bit before going through the typical morning routine. I login to work around 8:30 with my two toaster waffles.
10:00 AM - Milwaukee’s area code is 414, so every year on 4/14, the city celebrates Milwaukee Day. We make some donations to local businesses to celebrate this year. I donate $25 to a restaurant providing Community Meals every day to people in need (Tandem - they also have the best fried chicken in MKE but are currently closed for regular takeout service). I also purchase a shirt from a fundraiser for one of our favorite restaurants (Vanguard - $26.40). C gives $10 each to five bars/restaurants we like. $101.40
10:30 - We hired a young guy in our neighborhood early this spring to clean out our gutters. He did most of it, but said he would have to come back when the weather was warmer, as some of the leaves were still frozen. He came back today and also agreed to get rid of some things we’ve had sitting in the garage since we moved in. C. already paid him for the gutters, but venmo's him $100 for coming back to finish the job and hauling our crap away. We stayed inside and did not actually come in contact with him. $100
1:00 PM- I have the same salad as yesterday with a pretzel bun on the side, and eat while working. C. has leftover soup and a pretzel bun.
3:00 PM - I have my weekly conference call with my supervisors. I report to the three top leaders in my department and I sit in on their weekly meeting. I contribute very little, and often feel like the things they talk about are way above my paygrade. I appreciate being in the loop and know that I am there to learn, but the imposter syndrome is real. I finish working around 4:45 and take L. for a walk.
6:00 PM - C. runs to the liquor store (mask + gloves) to pick up a bottle of whiskey and a bottle of wine ($48.95). He makes us stuffed bell peppers for dinner. After we eat, we play scrabble and listen to a live stream from a local DJ. C. kicks my ass at scrabble with a 60 point word! He goes to play computer games online with 3 of our friends and I watch a Skillshare class on illustration and draw for a little bit. Bed time around 11 for me, C. comes to bed around 12:30. $48.95
Daily Total: $250.35
Wednesday, April 15th
7:45 AM - Wake up, usual morning routine. In the home office at 8:30 with a healthy breakfast of toaster waffles and a diet coke.
12:30 PM - We both have leftover soup for lunch. We are pretty repetitive with our meals. I eat while I work on some spreadsheets.
4:30 PM - We place an order for contactless pickup with one of our go-to restaurants (Triskele’s). We get two orders of brussel sprouts, and Parmesan truffle fries ($47 with tip). While we wait for our order to be ready, C. takes the dog on a walk and I do a strength training workout on the Peloton app (free 90 day trial). Afterwards, I take a shower and C. jumps on a Zoom happy hour with some of his sailing buddies. $47
7:00 PM - We finish eating and I have a virtual Crafty Hour with two friends. It turns into 2 hours and no crafts actually get done. We catch up and drink wine instead. We go to bed around 10:30 PM
Daily Total: $47
Thursday, April 16th
7:45 AM - Alarm goes off, typical morning routine and in the office around 8:30. C. showers and goes to the mechanic. He needs an oil change and because he has to drive to and from Chicago a few times a week, he can’t put it off any longer. Luckily, he is able to stay in his car and handle payment over the phone. He realizes he needs to change his filters too, so he orders them on Amazon ($32 for oil change, $32 for air filters). $64
11:00 AM - C. goes out to fly the airplane he rents from a coworker. Another coworker owns a similar size plane so they meet up in the air and practice some formations. The first hour of gas is covered in our rental fee, but C. stays up longer and has to fill up ($52). $52
1:00 PM - I make a personal pizza for lunch using some pita bread, garlic butter sauce, spinach, and pepperoni. I text with my best friend for a bit and then get a call from my sister letting me know Safer at Home has been extended to May 26. I understand the reasoning and I think it’s a smart move, but also...fuuuuuck. I bake some cookies to take my mind off it and then do some online shopping. I get a new pair of black leggings to replace my favorite ones that now have a hole in them, an oversized t-shirt, biker shorts, and a pair of joggers - all from American Eagle/Aerie. The total is $91.66, but I have a $100 Visa gift card leftover from Christmas that I use.
6:00 PM - We tag team cleaning up the kitchen and then make turkey meatballs with mac n cheese and leftover brussel sprouts from the night before. After dinner, we play another game of scrabble. C.’s friends sent us some fancy Irish crystal as a wedding gift that arrived today, so we drink a little Jameson from the whiskey glasses and send them a picture. I set a reminder in my phone to send them a proper thank you card this weekend. I read in bed for a bit while C. plays video games and call it an early night around 9:30. C. has a long layover tomorrow so he rents a couple of movies on his ipad. ($6)
Daily Total: $122
Friday, April 17th
7:30 AM - Alarm, morning routine. I login to work around 8:15. C. leaves for work shortly after. He has to fly to LA today, where he will sit for a few hours, and then fly back. I eat a clif bar for breakfast.
9:00 AM - I get an email that implies salary cuts and furloughs are on the way. My position involves a hodgepodge of random things they had a need for in my department. It is definitely something that can be done from home, but most of my projects probably wouldn’t be considered “essential business” when making difficult financial decisions.
11:00 AM - I have a weekly meeting with my boss and her other direct reports. She also implies cuts are coming, but can’t tell us more until next week.
12:15 PM - I get a call from our vet’s office that L.’s food and prozac prescription is ready for pickup. She is on a prescription diet for some tummy troubles, as well as a low dose of prozac for separation anxiety. The food lasts close to three months, and the prozac will last for a month. (148.44). While I’m out, I pick up Chick-Fil-A for lunch ($7.52). $155.96
4:15 PM - C. calls from his layover. There were 100 people on his flight, which is the most he’s seen the past month. I finish up with work and go outside to play with L. and do a lower body workout in the backyard. It’s gorgeous out, so I take L. on a 30 minute walk after BBG legs.
6:30 PM - I’m not very hungry and feeling pretty lazy, so I eat popcorn for dinner. C. ate leftovers for lunch and dinner at work. Once the pets are fed and have been given their nightly treats and cuddles, I try to find a movie to watch while I draw on my ipad. I can’t decide what to watch, so I just put on old episodes of Grey’s anatomy. Seasons 1-3 were the best. While browsing Instagram, I see a 14 day illustration challenge where they email you daily prompts for a donation to the Brooklyn Art Library. I donate $10. C. gets home around 10:30 and we go to bed. $10
Daily Total: $165.96
Saturday, April 18th
7:30 AM - C. gets up for work. He has another long day flying to LA and back. I stay in bed until he leaves at 8:30. I get up, feed the pets, and start to clean the house. C. stops for gas on his way to Chicago ($8.33) - it’s crazy how low gas prices are right now. When he gets to the airport, he buys breakfast from McDonalds ($9). I play outside with L., make myself some toast, and then get started on my usual Saturday chores - laundry, scrub the kitchen and bathrooms, pick up all the dog toys (this is pointless, as she drags them back out again), vacuum, and do the deep clean of the bunny’s room. I spot clean it throughout the week, but he’s a messy little guy. $17.33
12:00 PM - I make pasta with veggies and alfredo sauce for lunch. Once the laundry is done, I curl up on the couch and watch more of Grey’s Anatomy season 1 while I online shop. I look at the Sephora sale and then check out Wayfair for some patio furniture. I have a weird habit of browsing online, putting a bunch of stuff in my cart, and then never actually checking out.
4:00 PM - C. calls me from his layover. He ended up buying a burrito, as well as a big box of chocolates while at the airport ($30). I cannot tell you why he thought buying $20 airport chocolate was a good idea, but here we are. After we talk, I feed the pets and play fetch with L. I make a salad for dinner and follow it up with some popcorn. $30.00
8:30 PM - I have Zoom game night with friends. We play Quiplash and Evil Apples. C. gets home around 10:30 and joins in. We go to bed around 1 a.m.
Daily total: $47.33
Weekly Recap:
Food/Drinks - $226.99
Transportation - $135.92
Home & Health - $241.09
Clothes + Beauty - $0 - covered by gift card
Fun/Entertainment - $6
Pet Care: $148.44
Donations: $111.40
Weekly Total: $869.84
Reflections: I would say most of the expenses are pretty standard. C and I recently combined our finances, where before we tried to split things 50/50 or in proportion to our income levels. I'm still trying to get over my weird personal insecurity of feeling guilty that he makes twice as much as I do. The joint money diary has been nice to help us see how each of us spends our money, and how we can budget together going forward.
