Kallaco seems really suspicious and could be scamming GMU

So as everyone is waiting for this supposed email from Kallaco for covid testing. My friends and I started looking into them, the more we look into this mystery company the more suspicious it looks. Here’s what we have found, good and bad:
However, when searched on the the app store for either name, nothing comes up.
While this seems like a scam since we can’t find anything informative or reliable about Kallaco, most of the partners listed are real and their info checks out, but there are still a ton of red flags. Seems like GMU selected the lowest bidding company for Covid testing, and Kallaco is either a 4 week old startup company that is way over ambitious. Or its just a scam and GMU bought it.
If it ends up not being a scam, realistically, I don’t think the tests will arrive before the August 5th deadline. I would highly recommend going and getting a test done with your primary care physician or find a health clinic that offers them and can be covered by your insurance. GMU started this process way too late with a company that probably can’t handle the high demand anyway.
Stay safe everyone and lets hope this doesn’t turn into a crapshoot (this is GMU we’re talking about so we all know the odds of that)
TL;DR Kallaco is a 4 week old startup company that is really suspicious and possibly over ambitious. Or it’s a scam. We’ll have to wait and see.

27 Companies That Have Switched to Long-Term Remote Work

COVID-19 has forced companies all over the world to adapt to and embrace remote work—at least for the short term. And although the transition to working from home was fast and furious for a lot of organizations, many companies are now figuring out that working remotely is the future of work—pandemic or not.
Recent news stories abound with company announcements of extended work-from-home policies, with some even deciding to allow employees to work from home permanently.
For companies already integrating some remote work before the pandemic hit, the move toward a fully remote workforce was a natural one. For others, it took the world’s largest work-from-home experiment to show that remote work is productive, successful, and collaborative.
And, remote work has significant benefits for both employers and employees, not the least of which is increased productivity and better work-life balance.

Employees Want Remote Work, Too

According to a Global Workplace Analytics survey of employees working remotely during the pandemic, 73% note that they are very successful when working from home, and 86% say they feel “fully productive” working from their home office. And, of the 3,000 respondents, 76% want to continue working from home at least 2.5 days per week, on average.
It’s clear that employees value being able to work from home. And as more and more companies switch to a remote-first or fully remote model, job seekers have an even better chance of finding (and landing) the ideal work-from-home position.

2020 Ultimate Guide on How to Choose a Business Addresses

It is necessary for a new startup, but does the type of business address matter? Yes it does.It can seem overwhelming to sift through all of these options and decide what is best for you. Guess what, you don’t have to stress because we did the work for you. Here’s a comprehensive list of business address options to consider when deciding what kind of business address to choose. Before we look at those, let’s dive into the details of what business addresses are and why they can help your business.

What is a Business Address

A business address is an address that is separate from your home address that can be used for all official communications. It is a base of operations for your business that can both receive mail and be used on official forms. Your business address can be your commercial office or another physical address.

Why Do You Need a Business Address

Deciding on what should be your business address is often one of the first things you need to do when starting a new business. You may not think it’s something important and decide to start off in your home. Many startup owner’s do this and begin out of their home, think Steve Jobs. But per the definition above and the problems you’ll have as a startup it’s not ideal (more on that later).A home address might save costs initially, but there will quickly be other aspects to consider, including privacy issues, zoning rules, and other problems surrounding liability. Those are big risks with just working from home.So now this is where using a separate business address can help.Using a separate physical address as your business address (instead of your home) can make your company look more legitimate and encourage others to do business with you.A physical business address that’s not the same as your residence can boost your credibility and professionalism and build trust with your customers, suppliers and partners, plus protect yourself and your business privacy. For example, think about yourself as the customer doing an online search of “Pete’s Business” and you see a house. Do you want to pay money to that business? Is it a scam?Often customers will not trust you by seeing a home address and that’s why using a separate business address is ideal. Plus, you don’t want angry customers knocking on your door.

When Do You Need to Get a Separate Business Address

There are some cases you’ll absolutely need to find a separate business address. Here are the reasons you’ll need to find another option.

You Have a LLC, Corporation, or Partnership

Most of the mail for your business must be sent to a physical street address. This is especially true if your business is forming an LLC, corporation, or partnership. The address must also be valid in the state in which you formed your company.

You Run a Remote Business

If you’re running a remote business or are a digital nomad who runs a business maintaining a physical address could be difficult because your home is the world. You're a free soul un-attached to one single location. Sadly, you’ll still need a permanent address to do a lot of your business and there are solutions, such as a virtual mailbox, that can help you live your best life.

What Are My Options for Getting a Business Address

Once you know exactly what your business needs, it’s time to find the kind of address that will benefit your business the most. Here are some of the best business address options available.

1. Home Address

A home address is where you personally live. This is the go-to option for many new businesses, especially startups. According to 2017 data from the Small Business Administration 60% of companies without paid employees operate out of the home, and it is therefore the obvious choice for them.

The Pros of a Home Address

The biggest advantages of using a home address include the ability to easily receive important mail and packages, no commute, convenient, and free!

The Cons of a Home Address

The most significant problems of using a home address are with potential legal consequences (liability).Other cons of using a home address include looking unprofessional and leaves your personal address and information vulnerable for anyone to see. Certain cities have zoning and HOA laws that prohibit a business from being run out of a personal home so you might not even be able to run a business.

Who is a Home Address Best for

A home address can be a good option for those selling their time rather than a product (think consultant or freelancer). It’s also good for sole proprietors.

Who is a Home Address Not Best for

While you may want to use a home address, especially at the beginning, it is not a good choice for those businesses that sell physical products, run an online business, or are forming an LLC.It is not ideal if you care about protecting your privacy and want to look professional. It can be viewed by customers and clients as unprofessional and even untrustworthy to use a home address for a business. There is also the high risk of privacy violations, as you will consistently be exposing your personal details.

2. PO Box

A PO Box is a physical mailbox that is located inside an actual postal office. It is a simple solution for those looking for a secure mailing address that is separate from their home.

The Pros of a PO Box

Because PO Boxes are hosted by the Post Office, mail typically gets delivered faster to a postal box than to a residential or business address. There is no waiting for the postman to drop mail off at your home or office. Another primary reason why people rent a PO Box is to protect their privacy. There are certain times when you don't want certain people to know where you live. By getting a PO Box, you get another mailing address that you can use for selected contacts and transactions.PO Boxes are normally inexpensive and affordable. Depending on the PO Box location and size, a 6 month term starts for as low as $10. However, you need to make sure that you get the proper box size that fits your incoming mail and package volume.A PO Box is great for people who move constantly. If you've ever relocated, you know the pain you go through - changing mailing addresses for bills, bank statements, and magazine subscriptions, updating personal information with the IRS and the government, and sending email or emailing friends your new address. It's very easy to miss updating an important service. Next thing you know, you end up with identity theft because someone happened to get his hands on your personal mail. A PO Box reduces this problem by cutting down the frequency required to change your mailing address every time you move.

The Cons of a PO Box

There are some big disadvantages to using a PO Box as a business address. You cannot be used to register an LLC or corporation, a physical street address is required for that. PO Boxes are not accepted.A PO Box can only receive mail from USPS due to being located inside post offices. This means that you cannot receive mail and packages from FedEx and UPS. That basically means you’ll have to get another address on top of a PO Box if you expect mail and packages from those other courier services.Other cons of a PO Box include overfilling if it is not maintained regularly so you’ll have to stay on top of your mailbox and travel often. It is limited in size for mail and packages. Lastly, forwarding of mail and packages from a PO Box can be expensive, as USPS charges extra.

Who is a PO Box Best for

A PO Box is best for those who have basic mail requirements, such as a limited number in letters and small packages. It’s also ideal for individuals who want to protect their privacy and not use their home address for the world to see.

Who is a PO Box Not Best for

When registering a business, it’s important to remember that PO Boxes cannot be used by LLCs, corporations, or partnerships. If you are forming any of these business entities a PO Box won’t work.PO Boxes are not always the best choice if you are registering an LLC or corporation. PO Boxes are also not the most convenient mail solution if you work and travel remotely. As an alternative you might want to consider a virtual mailbox. See the article PO Box vs. Virtual Mailbox for more detail.

3. Private Mailbox

Private mailboxes tend to be located in areas such as retail centers and are linked to their store address. They can be rented from places like the UPS Store, PostNet, or any mailbox company that is owned locally.

The Pros of a Private Mailbox

A private mailbox will give you a physical street address. Your mail is signed and held securely by the mailbox provider on your behalf, which reduces the risk of theft. Another perk is you can get extra services such as faxing, copying, and packaging.

The Cons of a Private Mailbox

The main issue of having a private mailbox is that it requires someone to physically travel and maintain them regularly. This may suit businesses that are local to the mailbox location, but for more remote businesses this is not ideal.

Who is a Private Mailbox Best for

Private mailboxes are a good fit for those who need a permanent mailing address, as well as extra business services, which often don’t cost extra.

Who is a Private Mailbox Not Best for

Private mailboxes require someone to regularly check them by physically going to them. This means that they may not suit businesses that are remote, for those who travel often for business, or those that live far away from the mailbox itself. While renting a private mailbox is an effective and inexpensive way of ensuring privacy, it comes with certain disadvantages. See the article Private Mailbox vs. Virtual Mailbox for more detail.

4. Virtual Office

Virtual offices are a good solution for businesses that are looking for the benefits and features of a traditional office without the expense of renting a brick-and-mortar space. They do not require a lease and you don’t have to pay for utility and maintenance costs.

The Pros of a Virtual Office

A virtual office can provide a professional business address and a phone number dedicated to your business. It provides receptionist services and call handling. Plus, rentable meeting spaces.

The Cons of a Virtual Office

Virtual offices are one of the more expensive alternatives to a business address. They lack flexibility where many virtual office services don’t allow the business to pick and choose which specific services to rent. Many businesses end up paying for more than they need.If you plan on holding many meetings there is generally a maximum amount of hours of meeting time in day offices. Also, if you travel often you will not utilize the virtual office space as much as you would like. This can be a waste of funds and one of the other business address options might be a better fit.

Who is a Virtual Office Best for

Virtual offices are ideal for those looking to combine the benefits of remote working with those of traditional office environments.

Who is a Virtual Office Not Best for

The main drawback that is often attributed to virtual offices is the lack of centralization. This isn’t so much a problem for businesses with only a handful of employees, but for larger companies, this can be an issue, especially in the long term.Virtual offices are also not be the best choice for those looking for a physical location in which to work everyday. While a virtual office comes with many benefits for small business owners, we will show you why a virtual mailbox is the better and more flexible option. See the article Virtual Office vs. Virtual Mailbox for more detail.

5. Coworking Space

Coworking spaces are shared areas in a building for teams to collaborate or for individuals to work in. There usually is no reservation system, and workers must find a space table to work at.

The Pros of a Coworking Space

The nature of coworking spaces practically encourages community, and you may meet fascinating strangers who can give unique insights into your business ideas. It’s about connections, relationships, networking, and mentorships. The advantages of coworking spaces include meeting rooms, reliable internet, work desks, and 24 hour access to the facility.

The Cons of a Coworking Space

While coworking spaces can suit some, for others they may not be suitable. For example lack of security compared to more traditional offices. Many will also find coworking spaces too noisy and crowded. Certain coworking spaces can also be expensive to rent.

Who is a Coworking Space Best for

Coworking spaces are for those looking for a physical office space to work in, either regularly or occasionally.A virtual mailbox will give those using coworking spaces the ability to maintain a permanent business address while traveling and working anywhere. They can still maintain their remote lifestyle with a virtual mailbox, since they can access, manage, and handle any important documents and pieces of mail with a click of a button.Get a permanent address with a virtual mailbox so you can work at any coworking space in the world without ever worrying about updating your address ever again. Learn the Benefits of Combining a Coworking Space and a Virtual Mailbox.

Who is a Coworking Space Not Best for

Privacy is the biggest concern with coworking spaces. You’ll find yourself working around complete strangers, and for many, this lack of security is impossible to work with. Picture dozens of people walking in and out and peering at your screen. That’s not secure. It’s also not best for those who need silence to be productive in their work days because you’ll get the same distractions as a traditional office (noise, surprise conversations, and water cooler talks).

6. Commercial Space

Commercial spaces are physical buildings that are specifically designed to provide rented office space to businesses. These can be in industrial zones, office buildings, business parks, warehouses, and other free standing buildings.

The Pros of a Commercial Space

A physical office space gives businesses a place to hold meetings with clients and let employees work in everyday. It also lets customers find your business with foot traffic.

The Cons of a Commercial Space

The main disadvantage of commercial spaces is the extra expense. They are often offered on a contract of monthly rent payments and will almost certainly be the most expensive option you consider for your business. As well as the rent, there will be other bills to consider, such as utilities, furniture, etc. It’s your responsibility to maintain your commercial property and those costs can add up. It’s even more expensive if you choose to buy the commercial space.

Who is a Commercial Space Best for

This might be the best choice for those who plan on having clients and customers walk in. You also want a physical office for your employees to collaborate in everyday.

Who is a Commercial Space Not Best for

If your business does not require foot traffic, you have no employees, or don’t need a meeting space, then it might not be worth the expense.

7. Virtual Mailbox

Your virtual mailbox is similar to email, where once your mail item is received it is scanned and sent directly to you. This eliminates the need to travel to a physical mailbox. Plus, you get to decide what to do with your mail such as recycle, shred, archive, or use features such as package forwarding and mail forwarding.

The nice thing about a virtual mailbox service is it’s more than just used for mail. You can combine other features such as check depositing, package forwarding, registered agent services to be your all-in-one business solution. Here’s what you can use a virtual mailbox for.

You Can Protect Your Privacy

If you use your home address for your business, it will be made publicly available. You may prefer that clients, customers, and vendors don’t know your home address. Having a separate business address will keep your personal information confidential.

You Can Use The Address To Register Your Business

Use a virtual mailbox for registering your LLC or corporation. It’s not required to have a separate business address, but it does add another level of privacy by protecting your home address (like most startups do), which can be used on state websites.

You’ll Build Customer Trust

Having a professional business address adds a layer of legitimacy to your business in the eyes of your customers. As a first time customer who is seeing your home address as your business they’ll probably envision you in your pajamas eating chips and dip while watching tv in correlation. That’s their real first impression of your business, do you want that?

Your Mail Is Accepted By All Couriers

Unlike a PO Box, which only receives mail from USPS (that’s very limiting) a virtual mailbox can receive mail and packages from all courier services such as USPS, UPS, and FedEx.

You Can Manage Mail At Your Convenience

You have access to your virtual mailbox anytime, anyplace, 24/7. As long as you have internet access you can easily view your mail the same time you’re posting your photo of your fancy work dinner on Instagram #amazing

You Get A Permanent Physical Address

Your virtual mailbox address will remain the same, even if your business moves. Imagine all the headache of updating your address a virtual mailbox just saved you! Additionally, a virtual mailbox is accepted in more places than a PO Box. That’s a double win!

You Don’t Ever Need To Go To A Bank Again

Nothing beats that feeling of seeing more money in your bank account. A virtual mailbox can help you get paid faster. When you receive a check in your mailbox, you can request to have it deposited into your bank account. Your bank processes the deposit and credits your account with the money.

You’ll Save Time

Save yourself the time of manually opening mail and filing it (that’s a lot of potential paper cuts too). With a virtual mailbox you can easily automate this process and you can then use that time elsewhere such as reading that book or listening to that podcast you’ve been wanting too.

You Can Easily Keep Track of Documents

Let’s say it’s tax time and you head to your file cabinet full of old documents that as you open it moths come flying out. Ok, maybe not that old, but you get the picture. A virtual mailbox will give you the ability to no longer dig through piles of physical paper mail. You’ll have a digital mail solution that you can archive, track, and search all your important documents with a click of a button.

You Can Have Mail and Packages Forwarded Anywhere

As you’re traveling for business or just for fun as you’re running your remote business, you can easily forward mail and packages to yourself from anywhere. For example, you’re in China and don’t have deodorant. Fun fact if you didn’t know it’s a challenge to get deodorant in China. You can easily use your virtual mailbox to get your deodorant in no sweat (pun intended)!

The Cons

It is A Pain To Cancel

As with most things cancellation can be difficult. In this case, if you need to cancel your mail service, you will have to go through every item that is sent to your virtual mailbox and inform senders of the change of address MANUALLY.

You Might Have To Pay Extra Cost

A virtual mailbox can cost you extra than picking up your mail.

You Might Have To Login Often For Daily Management

Despite a virtual mailbox being a relatively automated system, you will still need to login daily to manage your mail, depending on how much mail you receive.

Who Should Use a Virtual Mailbox?

The main advantage of using a virtual mailbox is for people who work remotely, but still need a physical location. This can be for keeping in contact with government entities such as the IRS, DMV, or voter registration. There are additional reasons and people who use a virtual mailbox and you can view that in the quick breakdown below.

Startups and Small Businesses

If you care about privacy then here is where a virtual mailbox shines. When you register an LLC or corporation the forms require a business address. This business address will be on public and state websites for the world to see. A virtual mailbox lets you use that as your business address instead of your home address. This will protect your privacy by not exposing your personal home address.
You can use your virtual mailbox to create and maintain a professional image that will make you look more trustworthy to customers because they’ll see your professional business address and not a home address.
A virtual mailbox enables you to handle your mail immediately from any device. You'll receive an instantaneous notification when mail is scanned and processed into your account. You will need to log into your online account to open and view the mail scans and decide what to do from there, but immediate access is a must have as a business.
Lastly, with a virtual mailbox you will be able to store and archive all your important business documents for effortless record-keeping. This gives you a paperless office solution that automates, eliminates junk mail, and lets you skip the hassle and wasted time of opening and sorting your mail manually.

Digital Nomads and Travelers

For those who have no fixed abode, and work from wherever they find themselves, virtual mailboxes offer a stable touchpoint for their businesses.
The most appealing benefit of a virtual mailbox for the digital nomad or avid traveler is never having to change your permanent address again. A virtual mailbox gives you a permanent address while letting you explore the beautiful beaches of Thailand. It’s your permanent address when the world is your home.
With this unpredictable lifestyle you can view, read, store, or trash mail online, anytime and at any location. Other benefits of a virtual mailbox service enables you to easily forward mail and forward packages to any address in the world.
Because of the nature of working in public places, security is especially critical for digital nomads. It’s probably more important to protect yourself as you don’t want your information to be stolen by that stranger in the blue baseball hat sitting behind you at the coffee shop you are working at. All the mail and data handled by a virtual mailbox service are safely encrypted and are only accessible to the recipient. Packages are professionally handled and stored at mailing locations with the highest security standards.
Receiving salaries and paychecks from different countries is a pain as a digital nomad. When funds are low that also means a big HALT in exploring too. Not a problem anymore with a virtual mailbox! You don’t need to ever go to the bank, as everything is managed by your virtual mailbox service. You can deposit checks to any US bank for faster payments.

Expats

For those who live abroad, a virtual mailbox means that their mail goes straight to them, rather than passing through customs first. This helps them stay connected with their business or personal contacts and adds a layer of increased privacy and security.

PO Boxes

Another address option is a PO Box. A PO Box is the best choice if you have basic needs for a mailbox service. It’s similar to a virtual mailbox service in the ways of providing a separate business address to protect your privacy (your home address) and a professional business image.
WARNING #1: A PO Box only receives mail from USPS.
If you expect to receive or want to receive mail from other courier services such as FedEx or UPS we’ll save you the hassle and say a PO Box isn’t a good fit.
WARNING #2: If you need to register your LLC or corporation.
A PO Box won’t cut it for your business entity and a virtual mailbox might be the better option.
We just saved you 2 big headaches. You’re welcome.
If you do only expect to receive mail from USPS (no other couriers) and do not plan on forming a LLC or corporation then go forth and read on about PO Boxes.

How do they work, and why use one?

Essentially, a PO Box offers the same basic mailing functions as the virtual mailbox, without the physical address. They are often lockable mailboxes at a post office which you can access whenever.
If you have simple basic needs for a mailbox service such as protecting your privacy or for keeping an address that you use for mailing address purposes, a PO Box is a smart and affordable choice.

The Pros

A PO Box is best if you don’t expect much mail volume and if you don’t mind the drive to pick up your mail often. Here are more benefits a PO Box can offer.

Permanent Address

Having a PO Box gives you and your business the benefit of having a fixed physical street address. This is particularly helpful if you travel often or if your business moves, as you won’t have to change your mailing address.

Privacy

Having a separate mailing address adds a barrier of privacy between you and your work. There are certain times when you don't want certain people to know where you live. By getting a PO Box, you get another mailing address that you can use for selected contacts and transactions. Senders won’t know exactly where you are. This might come into play if you are a property manager and you don’t want angry tenants finding you especially if eviction day comes. Putting some distance between where people see the mail coming from and your home adds comfort.

Security

Security is an advantage as PO Boxes are located inside an actual post office. Also, the box is locked, so it is only accessible if you have the right key or combination.

Fast Delivery

Because PO Boxes are hosted by the Post Office, mail typically gets delivered faster to a PO Box compared to a residential or business address. This is useful if you need to often get mail out the same day.

The Cons

You Cannot Use A PO Box To Register A LLC or Corporation

The disadvantage of using a PO Box compared with a virtual mailbox is that it cannot be used as an official address when registering your business if you are an LLC or corporation.

You Cannot Use A PO Box To Open A Business Bank Account

Similarly, most banks won’t accept a PO Box address as a legitimate address for your business, which is important if you want to set up a business bank account.

You’ll Get A Less Professional Business Image

While it is always better and more professional for a business to have a physical mailing address, a PO Box looks less professional than a virtual mailbox. Depending on your business, this can either help or hinder you.

You Can Only Get Mail From USPS With PO Boxes

A disadvantage of using a PO Box is the lack of couriers that deliver to them. The only one that does is USPS, and not FedEx or UPS. This will affect and limit what mail you can receive.

You Need To Travel To Your PO Box For Mail and Package Pickup

Another drawback is that you have to physically travel and pick up your mail and packages at the location often. This is extremely inconvenient as you have to go to the location to check for mail. If there’s no mail, then you have wasted time making that trip. If you travel far away or if you will be gone for long periods of time, you will not be able to access and check your mail in a timely manner to make sure it doesn’t overflow.

You Have To Be Careful With Packages

If your package is too large for your PO Box, then USPS will often send it elsewhere, leaving you to track it down again.

You Will Pay Extra For Mail Forwarding and Package Forwarding Services

The charges for mail forwarding and package forwarding can be high. USPS charges extra for these services so be ready to pay more than you expected.

Who Should Use a PO Box?

Many new business owners make use of a PO Box to protect their privacy. It’s easy to rent a PO Box and is an option if you care about the following.

You Want To Protect Your Privacy

Instead of using your home address you can use a PO Box to protect your personal information.

You Don’t Want To Deal With A Change of Address

A PO Box is great for people who move constantly. If you've ever relocated, you know the pain you go through changing mailing addresses for bills, bank statements, and magazine subscriptions, updating personal information with the IRS and the government, and sending email or emailing friends your new address.
It's very easy to miss updating an important service. Next thing you know, you end up with identity theft because someone happened to get his hands on your personal mail. A PO Box reduces this problem by cutting down the frequency required to change your mailing address every time you move.
You can learn more about how a PO Box compares to a virtual mailbox.

Virtual Office

Another solution for obtaining a business address is having a virtual office. It’s important to note a virtual office is the most costly address option out of this list so if you don’t need a physical space and business related services are not a priority then a virtual mailbox is more cost-effective.
However, if you think a virtual office is a better fit we encourage you to view the pros and cons below.

How do they work, and why use one?

While you are not renting an actual office space to work in everyday, a virtual office allows you to interact and collaborate with employees just like you would in a traditional brick-and-mortar office.
Think of a virtual office as a collaborative space in the same way a traditional office is, but without the need for expensive overhead and fees that are involved in the rental. Basically, you get the benefits of remote working combined with a physical office.

The Pros

You Get A Professional Business Address

A place to receive, pick up, and/or forward mail. Your business will be given a professional business address, which you can use instead of your home address.

You Get The Office Perks Without The Overhead

The other attractive feature of a virtual office is that there’s no office lease, no utility payments, no hardware, and none of the associated costs that come with having a traditional office space. You can benefit from having all the perks of an office without the cost of hiring an office.

You Can Use Your Address To Register For LLCs and Corporations

Virtual office spaces often include a physical business address to which you can register your LLC or corporation. This is often not an option with PO Boxes.

You Get a Local Phone Number

Sometimes it’s necessary to speak to clients via telephone and virtual offices offer a local phone number that clients can call, which also can enhance your professional business image.

You Get Live Receptionist Services

Make use of a virtual assistant or receptionist service when you receive vendor and partner calls again improving your professional business image.

You Can Rent Meeting Spaces

On occasion you might need to hold an in-person meeting and virtual offices often include virtual meeting rooms and conference spaces that can be rented out for this purpose.

The Cons

A Virtual Office is Expensive

One of the main issues is that a virtual office is costly. While it is a good alternative for those looking to save time and money in recruiting business resources, it is more expensive than other business address services. Due to the expense, if you only need mailing services, then this might not be the choice for you.

You Will Have A Lack of Flexibility

Because of how many services virtual offices offer, you may well end up paying for things you don’t use. Also, it is rare to find a virtual office service that allows users to customize their services. This is a draining cost if you actually don’t need a conference space, receptionist, or phone number.

You Can’t Use The Physical Space To Do Work On A Daily Basis

Virtual offices often limit the amount of time you can spend working in them, which can be difficult for those regularly working long hours. Sad? We know.

Who Should Use a Virtual Office?

The real benefits of having a virtual office extend beyond just mailing services. They are mainly for those who want all the benefits of having an office, without the overheads involved with renting a space.
So those who should use a virtual office include:
  1. Businesses who need a “home base”.
  2. Individuals or small businesses who want the office related services and workflow of a real office, without the costs involved.
  3. People who need virtual conference spaces and places to meet clients.
Overall, if you wish to convey the appearance of having a physical office without the need to have a commercial office space a virtual office is your cup of tea.

Coworking Spaces

A coworking space is a shared space in an office building. By using a virtual mailbox with your coworking space you will truly have the freedom to work anywhere while running a remote business. You will have the ability to work at any coworking space in the world without ever worrying about updating your addresses or how you’ll get your mail and packages as well as store everything digitally. Talk about the best of both worlds!

How do they work, and why use one?

Sick of the coffee shops? Sick of being alone?
(Alexa play the song “All By Myself” by Celine Dion)
Coworking spaces are designed for those looking for community and who need a physical office space to physically work on a daily basis. They are great for individual and group work, as they often have large desks and plenty of space in which to work.
Usually in a coworking space, individuals simply look for any open desk to use. There’s no dedicated or reserved desk for you unless you pay for it.

The Pros

You Can Feel Like You’re Part Of A Community

You will find yourself working around and among other professionals, often from a wide variety of industries. This can offer some incredibly diverse networking opportunities, support systems, and learning opportunities that would be hard to find elsewhere to build your business.

You’ll Have Access To Amenities

Coworking spaces often come with a wide variety of amenities that include the following:
Imagine an environment without the stuffiness of a corporate office space, but still more structure than your home office.

The Cons

It’s Expensive To Have a Coworking Space

A coworking space is an expensive option, but is still cheaper than renting your own space. The membership prices vary so be sure to do your research.

You Are Not Guaranteed Workspace Availability

Often, the nature of coworking spaces is on a first-come-first-served basis, thus there is no guarantee that you will find a space in which to work.
(Alexa play the song “All By Myself” by Celine Dion)
If that is the case you’ll have to head back to the coffee shop or your house to work for the remainder of the day.

You’ll Be Distracted

Another downside of coworking spaces is that you will receive the same distractions as in a normal work office environment. It is best to consider your personality and work style before selecting a coworking space.

Who Should Use Coworking Spaces?

Coworking spaces are best for those wanting to leave the solitude of a home office or coffee shop and value belonging to a community, while networking and socializing with fellow entrepreneurs and freelancers. They are a good choice for people who want a physical location to work at every day too.

Which Mailbox Solution Should You Choose?

Overall, a virtual mailbox is the most flexible option out of the other addresses and for businesses because it overcomes all the disadvantages of a PO Box, it is more affordable than a virtual office if you don’t need a physical location, and it complements coworking spaces where you don’t have to worry about changing your address. You can work in any coworking center and have a permanent address.
Hopefully, with the information and comparisons provided, you will be able to make an informed choice to choose the business address of your dreams.

Everything we know about Sombra so far.

Sombra has been revealed and will be playable on the PTR next week! Animated Short, Origin Story, Gameplay Trailer.

I've missed some important details from last week. If you're looking for an accurate and detailed description of each step, visit the Game Detectives wiki.

Hello! To help some people out (and to clean-up my previous mess), I'm going to compile every single image and bit of information we have about Sombra in this thread. Please forgive me for the horrible formatting. ._.

Sombra (ARG)

This is everything we know so far about the word Sombra, the name Sombra, and how it's referenced/treated in-game. If something is not Sombra, it won't be in this section. ARG things will be located at the bottom of this section.
  • There is an interaction in which Reaper says "Where is Sombra when you need her?"
  • This is a picture of a newspaper in Dorado. The Spanish phrase translates to "Who is Sombra (or Shadow)?" Location in Dorado.
  • A picture of some classified files, including Soldier: 76, Jack Morrison (who's now Soldier: 76), and Sombra.
  • On the third point in Dorado, there are security terminals that say "UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS. PROTOCOL SOMBRA."
  • Countdown voice lines were added for Sombra at some point. If you're interested in listening to them, go to this Curse link and download the r7-release. Apparently a lot of things were mislabeled, and the voice actually belonged to Pharah.
  • So we all know how Sombra translates to "shadow" in Spanish. Since quite a few of the heroes are references to mythological figures, this may be a reference to Santa Murte, also known as "Señora de las Sombras" or "Lady of the Shadows", a saint with strong ties to Aztec and Mexican culture. Quote unquote from Wikipedia: "The two most common objects that Santa Muerte holds in her hands are a scythe and a globe. The scythe can symbolize the cutting of negative energies or influences. Also, as a harvesting tool, it can symbolize hope and prosperity. Her scythe reflects her origins as the Grim Reapress ("la Parca" of medieval Spain), and can represent the moment of death, when it is said to cut a silver thread. The scythe has a long handle, indicating that it can reach anywhere." This sounds a lot like a support sniper, in my opinion.
  • In the recent Ana Amari Origin Story trailer that showcases her past, some redditors have decoded two messages that appear in the form of flashes. Before I explain everything, this thread contains the decoding of the second message, and this thread contains the decoding of the first message. Basically, the decoding of the second message led to a message: "She who has the information, has the power." This might hint at Sombra being the 23rd hero, specifically a hacker-type hero (hence Protocol Sombra). Anyhow, the first message looks somewhat similar from a glance, but if you decode the the last four characters of the first picture, and the first two characters of the second one:
    S O M B R A
  • Some voice files have been datamined from the PTR. A lot of things are hinting toward a stealth hero. Listen to them in this thread.
  • In this interview, Jeff Kaplan confirms that Sombra is not Ana:
Now, I think they’re seeing in hindsight how they got misdirected because I’ve still seen people comment that one of Ana’s skins, the one with the mask on. They’re like, “Why is she wearing Sombra’s mask?” And they’re like, “There’s that thing in Dorado.” Then, somebody will correct them immediately and say, “It wasn’t in Dorado. It was actually in Egypt,” which makes perfect sense for Ana. We were not trying to get people’s wires crossed between the two characters.
  • A message was found in the newest Dev Update video. The full thing can be found in this thread, but basically they gave us this message:
Estuvo eso facilito? Ahora que tengo su atencion, dejenme se las pongo mas dificil
  • Translation:
Was that easy? Well, now that I have your attention, allow me to make things much more difficult.
  • The newest comic shows that Reaper knows about Sombra.
  • A ton of new goodies have been found after the release of the Summer Games update:
    • A code was found behind Tracer in the Summer Games trailer. This thread contains lots of discussion about how the code should be deciphered.
    • Is Sombra hiding behind Lucio? It appears that this has been debunked.
    • Mysterious directions were found in the newest trailer, with each of them being connected to a point on the compass. Here are the directions, and here is the thread.
    • A Skycode was found on Dorado. Really, really mysterious. Here's the thread. Seems to fit rather nicely on the fountain... The Skycode doesn't exist.
  • Thread. This distorted image of Dorado was just discovered half an hour ago. The following Spanish text was discovered:
"Por que estan mirando al cielo? La respuesta no esta sobre sus cabezas, esta detras de ustedes. A veces, necesitan analizar sus logros previos."
  • Translation:
"Why do you look to the sky? The answer is not above your heads, it's behind you. Sometimes, you need to analyze your previous achievements."
  • A new clue was found today. If you go to playoverwatch.com and Inspect Element the "?" achievement, you'll get this. The Spanish translates to "Good, not bad. However I'm bored, let's try something new in the same direction." Image taken from this thread.
  • Thread. The section of code in the "?" has been successfully deciphered! It resulted in a url leading to this datamoshed image of Volskaya. The following message was found, along with an ASCII skull:
"Parece que te gustan estos jueguitos... por que no jugamos uno de verdad?" (Translation): "It seems you like these little games.. why don't we play a real one?"
  • It's August the 23rd, and now we have this mysterious post from Skycoder!. It should be noted that the time on the post appears to be counting down. The title is binary and translates to 23. The page begins to glitch after a few seconds, resulting in this text box (there's also a flying image of Reaper on the page):
"la que tiene la información; tiene el poder" (Translation): "She who has the information, has the power."
  • Then the message is replaced by another code:
    ICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgICA6UEKPQms6CiAgICAgICAg ICAgICAgICAgICAgICAsakKIQEJAQkBCQEJCTC4KICAgICAgICAgICAg ICAgICAgIDdHlkKTQpVCTU1NTU1CQEJAQkBOcgogICAgICAgICAgICAg ICA6a0KSQpCIl01NT01PTU9NT01NTU2MQphCQEIxLAogICAgICAgICAg IDo1kUKNQphCiEJCTU1PTU9NT01PTU9NT01NipJuQm5CQEJCdS4KICAg ICAgICA3MG6GlUKIQpJClEJYQkJPTU9NT01PTU9NT01NQk1QQphCiEJA QkBCQE5yCiAgICAgIEeYlpdCSiBpQohCh4ggIE9CTU9NT01PTU9NT01P TZYyICBCj0JAQi4gRUJAQkBTCiAgICAgIJKWQk2HR0pCVS4gIGlTdUKI T01PTU9NT01PTU9NTZdPVTE6ICAua0JMTYhNhkKXCiAgICAgIEKMTU1C mUIgICAgICAgN4hCQk1NT01PTU9NT01PQkKWOiAgICAgICBCh0JNTYhC CiAgICAgII2YiEKKQiAgICAgICAgIDeSlkBNTU9NT01PTU1AQkA6ICAg ICAgICAgQEBCQEJACiAgICAgII+ST0xCLiAgICAgICAgICBCTkKPTU1P TU9NTY9CRUIgICAgICAgICAgckJqTYRCCiAgICAgIJBAICBAICAgICAg ICAgICBNICBPQk9NT01NQHEgIE0gICAgICAgICAgLkAgIEBACiAgICAg IISVT3ZCICAgICAgICAgICBCOnWMTU1PTU9NTUJKaUIgICAgICAgICAg LkJ2TUBCCiAgICAgIIRCkUKYSiAgICAgICAgIDCRQpdNTU9NT01PTUKV QkB1ICAgICAgICAgcUBAQEJACiAgICAgIEKETUJCjHYgICAgICAgR4+L Qk1NTU1NTU1NTU1NQkKINSAgICAgICBGhEJNTUBCCiAgICAgIIdCQk1/ QlBOaSAgIExNRUKFT01NTU2PQoNNTU9NTYpCWk03ICAgckVxQodNQkKE CiAgICAgIEKYloRCTSAgQm1ChEIgIHFCTU9NQpBChUKEQk1PTUJMICBC QEJAQiAgQEJAQkBNCiAgICAgICBKlm2GhFBCj0KEQplCN0eIT01CQi4g ICAsQE1NTUBxTEJAQkBAQEJxQkBCQnYKICAgICAgICAgIGlHQpUsaTCE TZZCbk1NT4tFICA6ICBNQE9NTUBAQEJAUGlpQEBOOgogICAgICAgICAg ICAgLiAgIEKXTZBCj01NTUBCQEJAQkBNTU1AQEBNQEIKICAgICAgICAg ICAgICAgICBAQkBCLmlATUJCQEJAQkBAQk1AOjpCQEJACiAgICAgICAg ICAgICAgICAgQkBAQCAuQkBCLjpAQkAgOkJAQiAgQEJATwogICAgICAg ICAgICAgICAgICAgOjAgckBCQCAgQkBAIC5AQkA6IFA6CiAgICAgICAg ICAgICAgICAgICAgICAgdk1CIDpAQkAgOkJPNwogICAgICAgICAgICAg ICAgICAgICAgICAgICAsQkBCCg==
  • It was immediately recognized to be Base64, and the translation led to the 2nd ASCII skull. Two different methods were then used to decipher the skulls, and they both resulted in the same message:

  • Translation:
(Translation):I promised you a game...I believe you Game Detectives would call it a trailhead? BLZGDAUSA-AMBAS-CALAVERAS.HTML
  • "USA-AMBAS-CALAVERAS" translates to "USE-BOTH-SKULLS". BLZGDA is the server Blizzard uses for hosting media, so this video was found after using the full url. You can find the following in the properties:
Parecen estar muy interesados en estos "héroes". ¿Tal vez les interese conocer algunos detallitos que he averiguado sobre ellos? You seem to be very interested in these "heroes". Maybe interested to know some details that I found out about them?

  • YouTuber Muselk, along with the Sombra ARG Discord, sent this datamoshed image of Reaper to the official @PlayOverwatch Twitter account. The message was this:
Bueno Sombra, jugemos un juegito y depaso nos das algo con que jugar
(Translation): Okay Sombra, let's play a little game and in return you can give us something to play with
  • On August 23rd, the image (with modifications by Blizzard) was seen flying around the screen. The following message was diciphered from it:
Aquiesta tujuego
(Translation):Here's your game
  • It's been speculated that this was supposed to be solved before the amomentincrime email.
  • Protocal Sombra has finally hit Volskaya. v2.3, to be specific.
  • New newspapers titled with "GLOBAL HACKING SPREE" have replaced the old ones in Temple of Anubis, Ilios, King's Row, Hollywood, and Nepal. Images taken from this thread.
  • It appears that the highly-anticipated Halloween Event will start soon. This image was taken from the Xbox Store, and there's also a tiny Sombra in front of the little Reaper egg. Thread.
  • Thread. Sombra's been leaked through a private Blizzard website. Contains accurate details about the Halloween brawl and even a picture of Sombra herself.
  • The day after AMIC hit 100%, a patch was released that made Bastion emit a series of beeps after standing near one of the Dorado Sombra Protocol terminals/panels. The beeps were found to be and deciphering it led to a new website: www.lumerico.mx
  • The phone number at the bottom ((510) 766-2726) led to a series of number, which resulted in TAKECONTROL after being rotated 23 times. This was then used to find https://lumerico.mx/TAKECONTROL/index.html, which looked visually similar to AMIC. There was also a picture of Sombra's famous skull icon that was named calavera.png. Calavera is Spanish for the skull associated with Day of the Dead. The text on the page read:

  • The key from the phone number (5 2 4 1 3) was used to find this:
    GFlores/g#fNwP5qJ
  • Which translates to:
I'm congratulating you for getting in here. I only wanted to know if you were ready or not. (Hey, it's really difficult to get good help lately... you should see some of the clowns I'm working with). For now, let's continue with the true challenge: taking down Lumerico Corp president Guillermo Portero. Why? Because he's a greedy and corrupt man, and an abominable thief. His plan of bringing in line the most powerful and biggest zigurat the 1st of november us nothing more than a deceit, an elaborate plan by his gang to become even more influential in the people of Mexico and get more money. And who's gonna pay for that? Common people, the ones that are always forgotten.
I've started upgrading my protocols so that they are used to take down the Lumerico Corp infraestructure and Los Muertos are also trying to go against the corruption. Meanwhile, search the Lumerico Corp site for info we can use against the bastard, or better, get his username and password so that hundreds "not so favorable" facts about the president start popping up.
I was able to get the username and pass of a Lumerico Corp employee, start here:
    GFlores/g#fNwP5qJ
  • The credentials were used on the login page, which logged the user into the account of Gonzalo Flores. There, access was granted to his emails (transcripts). None of the emails had any significance, aside from one:
    De:Valeria Valderrama[email protected] Para:Gonzalo Flores[email protected] Asunto:Página de Guillermo
Hola, Gonzo: ¿Puedes ver el tráfico de https://lumerico.mx/president-bypass? Guillermo debería ser el único accediendo desde su página de inicio privada, pero parece que está teniendo mucho tráfico. Tal vez tengamos que escalar esto a la señorita Jiménez, pero quiero estar segura de que es digno de su tiempo.
    Valeria Valderrama
  • After some complicated stuff, people were left with this presidential password: Xy@4+Bkuqd<53uJ
  • The emails for the President's account were accessed using the same methods from Flores'. After sifting through them for about 30 minutes, another email appeared - from Sombra:
Veo que se han podido infiltrar en su correo. No se preocupen, él no puede ver este correo, lo he ocultado de su vista si se conecta desde una de sus direcciones conocidas de IP.
Necesito un poco más de tiempo para establecer el próximo grupo de potocolos. Manténganse atentos a principios de la otra semana. Le echaré unos cuantos trapitos sucios en sus correos para que se filtren al público
"accidentalmente". Ya veremos como reaccionan los medios de comunicación.
  • Translation:
I see you have been able to infiltrate the mail.
Do not worry, he cannot see this email, I've hidden it from view if you connect from one of the known IP addresses.
I need a little more time to set up the next group of protocols. Stay tuned early next week. I'll take a few dirty rags in their emails to "accidentally" leak to the public. We'll see how they react to the media.
  • On November 1st, we basically had to "overheat" the LumeriCo power plant by answering 3 questions in the LumeriCo terminal (using the Tracer Trail). Upon completion, this was discovered: http://volskayaindustries.com/. Everybody was given a Día de Los Muertos spray.
  • Sombra has been revealed and will be playable on the PTR next week! Animated Short, Origin Story, Gameplay Trailer.

Mysterious Figure Ana Amari

Everything we know about a mysterious figure who's been found in-game. For all we know, this may be someone else (but Sombra is the most likely candidate). This section is kinda useless now that Ana Amari has been revealed.
  • A picture of a mysterious mask. Location. Note how there's an image of an Egyptian pyramid in the bottom-right.
  • This picture from the Gamespot video about the making of Overwatch shows a sniper that is listed in the support section. Note that each character in each section is listed alphabetically. Also note that the pose looks really similar to Widowmaker's.
  • From the same video comes a scope that looks similar to the character's mask. Here's another angle of the scope. Note that the scope isn't exactly fit for a sniper.
  • In a teaser image released before the Dorado short, there appears to be a mysterious silhouette on the rooftops. It's been debunked; just a window.
  • In the cinematic trailer that took place in the museum, there is a sniper rifle that looks like something Sombra would wield. Image 1, Image 2, Image 3
  • A recent teaser was sent out by Blizzard on Twitter, showcasing a biotic rifle and some notes by Mercy and Torbjorn. Note that the scope is literally a perfect match to this scope. Also note that the Brazilian version has Ana Amari along the top-left. (This teaser was posted in this section because it doesn't mention Sombra at all, even though it is most likely wielded by her).

Theories (Sombra's identity)

There are 6 main theories about Sombra's identity. Keep in mind that everything in this section is mainly speculation.
  1. Since Reaper is the one who's talking about Sombra, it's possible that she's a villain/works for Talon. Additionally, she's mentioned on page 4 of the Old Soldiers comic.
  2. (Popular) It's been highly speculated that Sombra is Pharah's mother Ana Amari due to their similar clothing and weaponry. Although lore-wise Amari disappeared under mysterious circumstances, it's possible that she either is fine and well or was brought back from near-death (similar to Soldier: 76, Reaper, and Genji). This also means that we'll be able to play as 5 of the 6 Overwatch founders (excluding Liao). Ana Amari and Sombra are completely separate characters.
  3. (Popular) Soldier: 76 has a voice line on Dorado where he says, "I wanna know what Lumerico's been up to. As most of you know, Soldier: 76's been targeting major corporations, facilities, and other shady organizations after the fall of Overwatch. So it's possible that Lumerico ("Clean energy for all of Mexico!") is a possible target of not only Soldier: 76, but also Sombra. So if the power plant's been locked down due to a protocol, this suggests that it's been attacked by Sombra (hence the Sombra protocol). Since a protocol is an official procedure or set of rules, we can assume that Sombra's been doing similar things to Lumerico and/or other corporations. This brings us back to the files on the table in Dorado. It's quite possible that Lumerico has kept tabs on its enemies (there is an international manhunt for Soldier: 76), but this also suggests that Sombra shares similar views/targets with 76 and is, in fact, not a villain. Are they possibly working together? Possibly. I doubt 76 would form an alliance with a stranger, so it's possible that they've known each other in the past. Can this be a reference to Alejandra? Her age is addressed in the next section.
  4. There's another theory that Sombra is Alejandra's mother (the mother who narrated Hero). Alternatively, it's also possible that Alejandra was inspired by Soldier: 76 to work for Overwatch.
  5. Another possibility is that Sombra is an omnic. You usually wouldn't say "Protocol Reaper" to send in a person; you'd say "Protocol Reaper" to send in a defense robot/omnic. Also, we already have a good omnic (Zenyatta), and a neutral one (Bastion). We're only missing a bad omnic.
  6. On Watchpoint: Gibraltar, there is an aircraft in the hangar with Lt. Maria Estrada (its pilot) on the side. Note that Amari anagrams to Maria.
  7. There's a theory that Sombra is a consciousness uploaded to Athena. In the Recall video, it seems that Reaper's virus upload was successful because it took Winston several seconds to shut down the computer while the upload was at 98% (keep in mind that the jump from 90% to 98% took very little time). Then the computer turns on and Athena proclaims that the virus has been quarantined. What's odd, though, is that the Recall interface is the first thing that appears again, and Athena doesn't discourage him this time. It's possible that Reaper and Sombra were partners before, and that Sombra died at some point in the past. Since her outfit is rather robotic, it's possible that Reaper somehow successful uploaded her consciousness to Athena.
  8. And if it's none of the above, Sombra is somebody we'll never think of.

Evidence

This is strong evidence that may support a theory (or theories) about Sombra. Some of this may not be 100% certainly true, but it should be probable to a degree.
  1. (Ana Amari as a hero): A recent find was made by Rhykker that hints that the sniper's name may be Ana. (here's his post). There's an in-depth video included in his post if you're interested in learning more about his find. Basically, he found after doing some modifications to the picture that there appears to be a very short name in the top-right. Its shortness rules out the possibility of being Athena, so the best choice is Ana.
  2. (Alejandra's age): It says on the news in Recall that LumeriCo had finished its construction on the first of its power plants in Dorado. If you compare the bell tower in Hero and in-game, it appears that there is no power plant in the former. This suggests that Hero took place before LumeriCo appeared. Additionally, on the Overwatch website, CEO Portero announces the completion of the last link in the company's network. Apparently even additional time has passed since Recall and present-day Dorado. This makes it very plausible that Alejandra had decided to follow Soldier: 76's shadow (or sombra) in taking down shady corporations (which means that she's most likely in her 20's). However, to contradict this, Soldier: 76 reportedly acquired his equipment months ago. Keep in mind that this is the future, and building power plants in months can be done. Terr_ listed a lot of good stuff in this comment.

Clues/Speculations

This is where you'll find the weird things that seem out of place in Overwatch. Some of these are unsolved, solved, related to Sombra, unrelated, etc. I'll keep the Sombra-related content near the top.
  1. There are seven sombreros in Dorado that emit strange sparks when hit. There are also seven "Protocol: Sombra" terminals in the power plant. Apparently these unique sombreros have been removed from the game.
  2. The score on the dartboard in Anubis is 7 v 13.

What to look for

In the Eurogamer interview with Jeff Kaplan, he says the following: "We have put a lot of hints, all over the game and out of the game, so I would say it's about time that people are concerned with who Sombra is. I hope they keep researching more and find more hints that are out there." followed by this:
So they haven't found everything yet?
Jeff Kaplan: No. No sir.
This suggests that there is a plethora of hints that we haven't stumbled upon yet. I'd suggest looking for more hints in ALL OF THE MAPS, if you're interested in cracking this hero's identity. Additionally (if you're insane), try matching up dates or use a spectrogram and try to find hidden things outside of the game itself. I'll try my best to update this thread ASAP if something new is found.
Edit 1: Thank you kind stranger for the gold! Totally unexpected, but thanks anyways!
Edit 2: Almost 1K replies. I didn't think this post would blow up with comments.
Edit 3: Added an excellent theory that seems extremely probable.
Edit 4: I'll try to fix the omnic theory later today, but right now I'm about to add a ton of new stuff.
Edit 5: Fixed some typos and changed Ana Amari's section a bit. I plan on doing an overhaul to this post tomorrow.
Edit 6: Added in the pilot theory and omnic theory. I'm gonna try to add another section to this post later this week.
Edit 7: Added 2 new sections. This post probably looks like a giant mess right now. If you have any suggestions, please tell me!
Edit 8: A BIG TEASER CAME OUT 6 HOURS AGO. Link
Edit 9: ANA AMARI IS HERE! I've had a great time compiling this post, but I couldn't have done it without you guys. Thank you!
Edit 10: I'll add the decoded message later today. Also, thank you for the gold!
Edit 11: Added the stealth voice lines, and another secret message has been found in the latest Dev Update video.
Edit 12: Managed to add the Summer Games clues. Please respond if I'm missing anything!
Edit 13: New clue! http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overwatch/topic/20748794686
Edit 14: We're all caught up! I decided to clean up the top of the post.
Edit 15: I'm really no longer interested in the ARG, but I've added in the leaked Halloween images.
Edit 16: Added stuff from the LumeriCo website.
Edit 17: It's been pretty painful, but the wait for Sombra is now over!

¿Eres mi chico de TI? - Part 2 - The Documentation

Part 1 - The Walkthrough Part 2 - The Documentation Part 3 - The Firewall Part 4 - The Domain Controller Part 5 - The PBX Part 6 - The Building

Our Intrepid Crew

$AYMITG: A 27 yo Army vet in the American SE. Currently run a small startup home automation and MSP service by night while working in one of the Big Insurance 3's Operations Center by day. Focus mostly on finding my clients high-quality, open-source (read low cost), and secure software to fill their needs. Use a lot of Unifi gear, raspberry pi's, and off-the-shelf stuff.
$Coworker: Employee at Big 3 but in a different line of business, from $AYMITG's former call center life.
$8Mile: Employee in Big 3's Ops Center with $AYMITG. Right hand and pea in a pod. 8Mile consistently wears hoodies/beanies and vans and has 8 certificates. Doesn't use them, yet.
$Wifey: AYMITG's wife. Great with layer1 work. Could punch down a 100 lines an hour given a tool and a Vizio diagram. Grew up on a farm and can carry you and a 4u server at the same time.
$Intern: 15 years old, uses the internet the way you'd expect a 15 yo boy to. Which led him to learn enough about Windows to be dangerous. Trying to round out his abilities and put him on a path of light. $AYMITG's Pastor's son.
$Seguro: A primarily Spanish language insurance provider, car, house, life. Serves a huge cash only subset of society.
$MaryMagdalene: Owner of $Seguro. Early 50's, highly conservative, but lives out her New Testament Christianity with an almost infectious quality. Endearing but aloof.

The Documenation

AYMITG and 8Mile finish an 8 hour shift in the Ops Center. Already having been run ragged due to 3rd party failure to roll out new ticketing and monitoring implementation, the duo would like nothing more than a nap.
Unbeknownst to the two, they are in for a long night.

$AYMITG: I really appreciate you coming out with us this evening. $Wifey is going to meet us on site with the work truck. She's got a few 1k feet of cable, all the keystones and panels, as well as a rack she stopped to pick up. She should be meeting us shortly after we arrive which will give us time for the documentation. $8Mile: No problem, what exactly are we dealing with?

$AYMITG pulls out the notes from $Partner. "Looks like 8 desktops, 2 POS systems, a "cash recycler", whatever that is, and 2 servers. Oh, and a PBX."
$8Mile: So nothing too crazy.

$AYMITG and $8Mile arrive on site and the previous days mess has turned into total chaos. Friends and clients of the business mill around as employees work up the last few clients. Things are being shoved into boxes and $MaryMagdalene is waiting for us in the lobby.

$AYMITG: This is $8Mile, we work together. He's going to help me start documenting the network. Go ahead and have your employees sign off of everything, balance your tills and such, but don't shut anything down yet.
$MM: No problem, just let us finish up these few.

$AYMITG and $8Mile duck into one of the classrooms that $Seguro uses for drivers training and plug into a loose cat5 cable. Looks like one of the computers has already been put into a box. $8Mile fires up NMAP and starts scanning the network. From the results, it looks like one of the servers is an Untangle Firewall, and the other is being used as a Domain Controller. The rest is the usual network noise of client PC's and printers. The PBX shows up to.

$AYMITG: $8Mile, lets get with $MM, grab the documenation and passwords she had and start standing things down. $Coworker has the green light to start packing client pc's for transport and pulling down the TV they use for instore ads.

$8Mile and $AYMITG find $MM in a back office. Documents are stacked 5" thick on the desk along side a Taurus .38 and a couple of mug shots. Laying nearby is a calendar with court dates and cards from the local precinct.

$MM notices $AYMITG looking at the mugshots.
$MM: Oh, I'm so glad to be over that. I had to pull a gun on him in the middle of $street. He was a client but got enraged when I wouldn't marry him on his birthday. Started stalking the place. Trying to get into the building and such. Hence all the cameras and the gun.

$AYMITG: That's horrible, but he's....locked up now? $MM: Oh yeah, definitely. $AYMITG: Great. Well we're carrying anyway, but we prefer not to shoot anyone at a clients site. chuckles Say, you said you had passwords for everything? Can I go ahead and get those so I can start shutting down things safely? $MM: Sure!

$MM crosses to a small bookshelf behind the desk filled with nicknacks and books unrelated to the business. $MM picks up a small white vase, and reaches inside, pulling out two worn slips of paper. One appears to be a card from a former IT person. Another is a slip of receipt paper. Scribbled on one are the words 192.168.1.1 firewall password: $biblecharacteryear the other, Domain Password: $Password.

$AYMITG: Great. And whatabout a list of your core business applications? Database passwords? Routers? etc...?" $MM: Oh yeah, definitely have that as well!

$MM minimizes the program she's working in and the desktop matches the room. Icons stacked 5 deep. No sense or semblance of organization. $MM finally locates a file called $Passwords.docx on a network share.

$AYMITG: $MM, is that accessible to everyone? $MM: Yeah, $LastITGuy set it up so I could get to it from anywhere. $AYMITG: Can the other employees pull it up too? $MM: Yeah, of course. They need to be able to unlock quickbooks and such.

$MM prints out the document and $8Mile and $AYMITG begin to flip through the alternating page after page of information. Included in the $Password.docx was every password and phrase related to any critical business function. The answers to secure questions. The logins for bank accounts and Western Union. For $MM's private financial accounts, and every utility company account past and present.

$AYMITG: $MM this is bad, this is access to everything. $MM: laughs I know we're not very good with computers so we just put everything there. $AYMITG: $8Mile add crypto or a password vault to the assessment. $MM, what's up with all those documents? They look like Drivers Licenses and Passport scans and such? $MM: Oh, yeah. Because we do all the insurance stuff, sometimes we have to scan all their documents in and work with them. $AYMITG: Do you back them up to the server? Or delete them? $MM: No we just all save them to the desktops.

$AYMITG excuses himself and runs to one of the other client computers. Sure enough, there are 100's of individuals personal documents scanned onto the machines. Passports, green cards, marriage certificates, immigration paperwork, birth certificates, tax records, etc...

$AYMITG starts to throw up but supresses it.
$AYMITG: $8Mile, you didn't see this. We're going to do what we were paid to do. Then we'll deal with the rest.

That's it for this installment of ¿Eres mi chico de TI? Next time, Will $8Mile and $AYMITG be able to defeat the dastardly firewall? Will Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid the building? Will $AYMITG shoot a stalker? Find out next time on ¿Eres mi chico de TI?

Edit: Part 3 is up!

$80k/mo with a screen printing business.

Hey - Pat from StarterStory.com here with another interview.
Today's interview is with Adam Tanaka of Life and Limb Printing, a brand that sells screen printing and merch production.
Some stats:

Hello! Who are you and what business did you start?

Hello! My name is Adam Tanaka and I own a company called Life and Limb Printing. We are a screen printing and full-service merch company that specializes in merch production for breweries, outdoor clothing companies, and restaurants with a little bit of everything else sprinkled in.
In 2016, we became automated bringing on our first auto screen printing press which changed our output drastically. We went from printing about 120 pieces an hour on a manual press to hitting anywhere from 500 to 800 pieces an hour.
Since officially launching the business in 2010, we had our best month last year in October 2018 at $80,000 and now we are set to hit 1M by the end of 2019.

What's your backstory and how did you come up with the idea?

I was all over the place with what I wanted to do with my life - anywhere from a radio DJ, to creating zines, then going to college for biology, dropping out, all the while playing music and touring in bands since I was 14.
The music I listened to in the 90’s played a major role in what I ended up doing as my career. I remember stuffing cash into an envelope and sending it to some of my favorite bands' addresses and within 2 to 4 weeks, I'd get a shirt in the mail. After opening the package, I would immediately feel the print and it was a mystery to me of how that print got on a shirt.
In the early 2000’s, I got a job here in Nashville with a merch company that did almost everything in house. I started out scrubbing the floors and cleaning the shop making $6.25/hr. It was a large enough company that they were busy year round and a small enough company that the owners were there most of the time. From scrubbing those floors to working in their eCommerce department, I learned the inner workings of the production side of the business and knew I was ready to figure out how to launch my own company in merch.
I was working part-time at an art store, trying to play music and in 2008 at the age of 26, started printing small one-off jobs here and there for myself and for friends. I put music on the back burner to try and work my way to manager of the art store so that I could make more money to save up and spend towards my new venture. Somehow still being over $300 overdrawn in my bank account with more bills coming in and not enough being made, I still started a business.
My first real customer was a Nashville brewery, who still prints with us today. I cold-called them making my company sound much bigger than it was. The name was a song from a favorite band of mine, Fugazi called Life and Limb. It was the first bit of text I saw when my customer asked me what my company name was and it just ended up sticking. I started printing on the floor of my apartment and curing shirts on a cookie sheet in the oven. Below is the first shirt I printed for Yazoo Brewery and a cassette tape insert of the Fugazi record The Argument that has the track Life and Limb.

Even multiple-color jobs, I had to wipe down each screen every single time to align with the print and used a heat gun so the inks wouldn’t stick to the screen. This was brutal and I don’t know what I was thinking. Eventually, I moved into a 600 square foot garage, then shared the back of a building with another company, and a few years later landed our current space. All I knew was that I wanted to give my customers the best product ever, and something they could wear around and be proud of.
About 6 years into the business, I hired my first employee and now have a solid team of 8 people.

Take us through the process of designing, prototyping, and manufacturing your first product.

Once the sale is made and the order is defined, we will take artwork either from the customer or create it for them and begin setting it up for screen printing. Any good graphic designer can take a concept and make it a reality, but not every graphic designer knows how to set the design up for screen printing.
Once this is ready to go, we start by printing each layer onto films, going to a dark room, and “burning” the design onto screens. Then we are ready for setup on press and production. Our “blanks” are ordered through our suppliers and once received in, we’ll cart them and place them in our production queue.
There are so many variables here and anything can go wrong, so being able to get ahead of the issues before the order gets on press is ideal. The biggest challenges happen when there is a lack of communication and attention to detail. When I was doing everything by myself and running each part of the business, things could easily become lost in translation. Now having a team in place, a whole new set of issues can happen if the details are lost.
Startup costs for this industry can vary greatly depending on your output or what you want to accomplish with your business plan. When starting out, if I didn’t have the equipment, I would go onto a shirt forum and figure out how to build a temporary version of what I eventually wanted.
I think one of the last things a business owner thinks about is getting your business set up legally with all of the proper forms in place with the state and federally because the focus is on growth and next steps. This was one of my biggest hurdles - keeping up with taxes, business license, and so on… But once you find a good accountant and a good lawyer, let them take care of this so you can focus on building your company. That was one of the few things I wish I had in place from the beginning, even when I wasn’t making any money.

Describe the process of launching the business.

I wasn’t even thinking about getting a website up and going or having any online presence at all when I started. I was calling, emailing, and going out every day and visiting businesses and asking if they need printing. After being asked several times about a site they could visit, I knew it was long overdue and quickly built a site through WordPress using a template with basic information and a contact. Also, that phone number is a non-working number now.

I didn’t have any source of financing or borrowing at all for the first 7 years of business. I’ve never had partners or investors and still don’t to this day. If there was equipment or supplies I needed in order to function, I would work a part time or full time job and save money. Once I had what I needed, I would pay cash for it. I got my first business credit card and financed my first bit of equipment the 7th year when I brought on my first auto press and larger dryer.
After launching the business, I didn’t start seeing a big customer base for the first 3 years. I had no more than 10 customers at a time. With little to no overhead, I was able to get away with a small customer base, but I wasn’t satisfied with the progress I was making at all.
Once I moved into a small garage that was separate from an apartment, I had more confidence and didn’t feel as embarrassed having customers stop by for consultations on what type of merch they wanted for their business. It was in my 4th year that I started seeing substantial growth to where over the next 2 to 3 years, boxes of shirts were spilling out of my garage into the yard and driveway.
Again, having little overhead was huge but I knew it was time to crunch some numbers and see if it made sense to get an actual space that wasn’t part of my house, which was terrifying. I kept asking myself “what if the business failed because I moved too early, what if I move into the wrong space, what if I think I can afford it but really can’t” and tons of other anxiety inducing questions.
Nothing went as planned with launching the business. I didn’t have the systems set from beginning to end and it was all over the place. I was jumping back and forth between emails, to printing, to figuring out how to price an order, and there was no structure whatsoever. I was letting these failures get the best of me and had to step back to see why I was doing this in the first place.
Realizing that connecting with the customer, building that relationship, and being there for them every step of the way was the most important thing and that became my foundation.

Since launch, what has worked to attract and retain customers?

One of the biggest first moves I made was hiring a printer, stepping out from behind the press, and focusing on sales. It was really hard for me to hand over that control and hope that the quality and output was the best it could be. Every time I would go out to do face to face sales or meetings, I would constantly have to drive back to the garage or call my printer to make sure everything was ok. I was always worried and stressed about not being there overseeing the production side, especially with this being my first time having an employee. I learned so many things within that year, that it felt like 10 years had already gone by. It became apparent that when deciding to bring on an employee, there would have to be clear expectations and processes in place. This seems like a no-brainer, but I was in the dark on how to do this. Without having the proper expectations set, this in turn sets your employee up for potential disaster.
The second biggest move I made was bringing on an actual salesperson. That was a life-changer. I met my first sales guy and his family by chance at a photo shoot for a baby/kids clothing and supply company of mine. After a quick conversation, we both realized he worked for an existing customer of mine. I knew he was the right person when we had a phone call and he threw out several ideas for growth and next steps without knowing the entire process of what we did. I took about a week before jumping right in and talking with him a few more times, and finally offered him the position at a base rate plus commission salary.
We get together the first of the month to discuss that month’s goals and then another meeting mid-month to see where we are at and how to finish the month strong. As mentioned earlier, we make the connection and build that relationship. If we are a good fit for their brand or company, we will not only help build on their ideas but offer up merchandise consulting and product development if needed.
Two days a week, my sales team is in the office building lists for leads, emailing, and making calls. The remainder of the week, they are out getting face time with current customers and potential leads. I now have an account manager who is there to answer phones, take care of any walk-ins, and close the sale that our Sales Development Rep brought in. I have found that doing this allows for sales to keep selling while those potential leads turn into customer orders.
Being a service-based company, we don’t utilize Amazon, Facebook, or Shopify for sales. Instead of trying to go out and print for as many people as possible, we close in on what we are good at and what industries we want to work with and go for it.
We try and run a monthly promo/campaign or a monthly newsletter for discounts on their orders for specific events, holidays, special days, or just as a thank you for returning customers.
As part of our face to face sales efforts, we have a small booklet with photos of what we have worked on and a brief rundown of what we do along with a free shirt to give out as well. Inside the neck of the shirt where the size tag would be, this is where we print our company info and size of the shirt. They might throw away the booklet, but not many people throw away a shirt.
We try our best to keep our Instagram page up-to-date with various projects we are working on or highlighting a customer we have been working with. We also have a referral program set up where anyone can refer us and in turn, they will get paid a percentage of the job they referred over to us.
To help ensure a returning customer, give them incentive and treat them as part of the team. Check in on them every once in a while, or have a cookie cake delivered to their workplace and written with the icing it says “Thank you!” Something to show that their loyalty to you means more than anything because they can go anywhere else at any time.

How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

The first year of being in an actual building, we lost a lot of money.
Although I planned as best I could with a small cushion to fall back on financially, it was still difficult to gauge all of the other bits and pieces such as almost tripling in cost of utilities, our new auto press going down, other equipment issues, and a few other random things. We turned it around quickly and by the end of 2016/early 2017, we were in the black! Each year since, we have grown more than 60% and doubled our square footage in May of this year.
Not having the systems in place from the beginning was a struggle especially when bringing on employees. There was a lot of trial and error and forming good habits, but we have clear processes and systems in place and smarter about where things go around the office and the shop, making everything much more efficient. Daily production meetings are a must and end of day reporting helps foresee any problems that could arise in the future.

Through starting the business, have you learned anything particularly helpful or advantageous?

Having had the business for 10 years and being in the printing and merch industry for over 15 years, I feel more than confident in what I do and I still love it. But I have made and still make some very poor decisions and some whopping mistakes.
And even still, I feel like I’m faking my way through it most of the time. Early on, I kept hearing people say that failure is not an option and to keep pressing through it. I say right on, but also failure is an option and failing over and over again is what has allowed me to have just as many, if not more, successes.
Early on in the business, I printed a very large quantity of shirts with a specific ink color that had to be matched with a Pantone. I eye-balled it and ran the job, the whole time saying out loud that I hope the customer is ok with it. It was a rush order and I felt like I didn’t have the time to re-mix the ink (it would have taken a whole 10 more minutes to do so). They didn’t like what I chose of course, and I had to redo the entire order, on my dime, loads of money out the door.
Finding the right employees has been the most challenging. It is difficult to find someone with a solid work ethic ready to hit the ground running and is there to support your vision as the owner. That’s just rare. If you don’t have a system in place for setting up interviews, onboarding/training, and how their first day will go, it will more than likely fail. I have had this happen more times than I can count.
I have learned a bit in the last 10 years and am still learning. Not giving up has been key for me. The simple words just keep going don’t seem so simple when problems arise. It sounds easier to just get a day job, come home, and not have to worry about work anymore once you’re off the clock. Learning to take each thing, whether good or bad, and handling it with a level head will make a big impact on your business and your staff. At the end of the day, employees will look to you to either fix it or make it better, but as an owner, being able to delegate tasks in order to focus on large scale growth is essential.

What platform/tools do you use for your business?

Printavo is by far my favorite tool we use. It’s a cloud based solution that manages every part of the shop. All of my employees have a login and can see workflow from quote form all the way to order completion.
Everyone knows what’s going on at all times and each department of the business manages certain parts of Printavo. Even my production team can see all of the numbers so they know how the business is doing. If there are setbacks with production, the printers know what they need to do to hit their goals.
Everything that is done within the system is documented and is somewhat of an accountability tool as well. They also have countless blog posts covering ways to better your shop, the departments, and overall business in this specific industry which is very helpful.
I forget about this sometimes as it seems it isn’t as important, but I am all about Google. We use Gsuite for our email platform, and everything else Google has to offer. Simply writing an email where I mention having an attachment but forget, I get an auto-response asking me if I meant to attach something. This has saved me more times than not. Like most businesses, we utilize Google drive every day.
For any fulfillment services we do, Shipstation is the way to go for us. Their customer service is next to none and always responsive. Integration is easy and they make inventory management a breeze. We love it.

What have been the most influential books, podcasts, or other resources?

Built To Sell was a good one for me. It tells a good story about steps you can take to prepare your business to run where you can step away and bring more value to the company and eventually sell it and be profitable.
Smarter Faster Better was motivating and gave me a whole new outlook on productivity. There are so many different industries mentioned throughout the book and how the person in charge handled specific situations. No matter the business, we all go through the same stuff and knowing what decisions to make that will allow us to work smart.
I love the podcast How I Built This. My favorite episode was the interview with Yvon Chouinard, the owner of Patagonia. This one was very inspiring for me and after the episode ended, I felt even more passionate about what I do and how I do it.
He mentioned how the company was growing too fast, so he decided to scale back…..the opposite of what you would assume a business owner would do. I agree to work like everyone is out to get you, because they are for the most part. But I also agree with the phrase, slow and steady wins the race.
There is no race to be won in business, but there are goals, and rushing those goals could be detrimental to the well being of the business. Check it out here.
Another shout out to the How I Built This podcast is the episode with Andrew Casalena who is the founder of Squarespace, which is the web platform we use for our site. This hit home for me because he briefly discusses his bout with anxiety during the beginning phases of his company. Generalized Anxiety Disorder and social anxiety has been one of the biggest hurdles for me even before starting the business. I felt like I was alone, dealing with the intense symptoms almost every day, but then you hear other people such as Andrew talk about the exact same thing and feel somewhat comforted and know it’s going to be ok. Having constant interactions with my staff, customers, and trying to sell to strangers is part of the job and it is sometimes the hardest thing to do in hopes I don’t have a panic attack out of nowhere.

Advice for other entrepreneurs who want to get started or are just starting out?

Focus on the solutions and not the problems.
Wait as long as you can before bringing on your first employee and when you get to that point, interview as many as you can until you find the best for what you are needing and pay them well.
Make sure you have clearly defined systems and processes in place early on. Don’t obsess over your pricing structure.
Obsess over bringing value to your customer and everything else will fall into place. And whether you are good at math or not, go ahead and find a good accountant that cares about what you are doing and lock them in.
Set the business up from the beginning to where it could eventually run like a machine, on its own, so that you can get to where you want to be faster. You will be able to clearly define your goals and your 2 yea5 yea10 year plans can already be set in motion.

Are you looking to hire for certain positions right now?

We’re not currently looking to fill any positions at the moment, but welcome resumes from anyone who has experience in the industry to hold onto for the future.

FAQs / Installation / Tips

Installing PokeGo++ 2.0 on non-jailbroken iOS devices.
  1. Download both Cydia Impactor (http://www.cydiaimpactor.com) and the latest tweaked IPA (https;///globalplusplus.com).
  2. If you have the original Pokémon Go app on your iOS device, remove it from your device. if you are jailbroken
  3. Connect your iOS device to your computer. Your computer must have iTunes installed. If your computer is not trusted by your device, you should get a prompt to do so - select Trust.
  4. Open the Cydia Impactor program and ensure that the correct iOS device is selected in the drop-down menu.
  5. Click and drag the tweaked IPA you downloaded onto Cydia Impactor. It should prompt you for your Apple ID and password and ask for permission to start signing the IPA.
  6. Once the tweaked IPA is signed, you should see it on your device, but it should not work immediately.
  7. On your iOS device, open settings, and navigate to General > Device Management / Profiles / Profiles & Device Management. You should see the Apple ID you used to sign the IPA. Click on it and select the option to trust the ID. You should now be able to use the tweaked IPA.
  8. Please note that you will need to repeat steps 3 to 5 every seven days.
Notes for installing on a non-jailbroken iOS device.
· The tweak must be re-installed every seven days due to restrictions imposed by Apple. However, for re-installation, you need not remove the existing tweaked IPA on your iOS device.
· The tweaked IPA you downloaded should be at least 100 MB in size. If not, the download might have been corrupted, and you should re-download the file.
· The computer you use to install the tweaked IPA must have iTunes installed for Cydia Impactor to work.
· If you get a provision.cpp:150 error, the easiest solution is to create a new Apple ID and use that just for installing the tweaked IPA. Otherwise, see https://www.reddit.com/jailbreak/comments/4w6oftutorial_fixing_the_provisioncpp150_please_sign/.
Sniping with Poke Go++ 2.0.
Sniping is not the same as teleporting for Poke Go++ 2.0. Sniping refers to only catching a specific Pokémon in such a way that avoids a soft-ban. Teleporting refers to jumping to another location.
  1. Wait two hours without doing anything (no spinning, catching, feeding or battling, you can however hatch eggs).
  2. Teleport to a Pokémon you want.
  3. Catch the Pokémon OR stay in the location and catch/spin/battle. (If you want to continue to snipe, proceed to the next step)
  4. Wait two hours.
  5. Teleport home, or to another Pokémon, Raid or Gym. Note: Two hours is absolute maximum cooldown for large jumps. For small jumps, the cooldown will be smaller. Consult the cooldown chart which lists the time you must wait based off how far you want to go.

NOTE: Is sniping safe? No one knows for sure. Do it at your own risk. Don't ask questions that cannot be reasonably answered. If you want it to be totally safe, please consider playing legitimately instead.

What are the buttons in Poke Go++ 2.0?
From top to bottom, on the left:
· Pokeball: Toggles the menu buttons listed below.
· Gear: Opens the settings menu.
· Map: Opens the internal map - which you can use to walk to certain nearby locations.
· IV: IV checker for your Pokémon.
· Flag: Toggles patrol mode - your character will walk around, and gain distance walked for egg hatching. Set your walk speed (below) to 1x or 2x for best results.
· Routing Path: See release notes for 2.0-r17 for details (https://www.reddit.com/PokeGo2/comments/5yreqz/version_204r17_for_12740574_is_out/) or the associated FAQ.
· Walk Speed (1x/2x/4x/8x/Egg/Custom): Character walk speed. The egg icon is a best guess at the optimized walking speed for egg hatching between 1x and 2x using the patrol function. It should get the most distance in the same amount of time compared to 1x and 2x. You can also set a custom speed in settings.
· Man (Tap to Walk): This enables the character to walk to where you tap on the screen, so you can move without using the joystick. The compass at the top right corner should be set to north (at the 12 o'clock position) for best results. This option must also be disabled when entering gyms as it interferes with the gym mechanics.
· Scope: This opens the sniping function - see the other associated FAQs for more information.
· Cooldown Timer: For setting a preset time of your own. This is for counting down the time so that you know when you are done with a cooldown or softban.
· Return to Previous Location: Self-explanatory!
· H: This hides the menu and joystick. Triple tap to un-hide.
Additionally, while walking around, your character may come across Pokémon that will appear on buttons at the right side of the screen. Click on these Pokémon buttons for your character to walk directly to that Pokémon.
What are the settings in the Poke Go++ 2.0 settings menu?
· Language: Set tweak language to other languages. Incomplete but mostly done.
· Fake location: Set to on to allow the movement of your character with the joystick, tap to walk (the man button), or the map walk here function. You can turn this off so that the app functions like the legitimate app and follows your device location.
· Time to save location: Sets the time for the game to save your location for. Any setting but "Startup/Forever" will reset you back to your actual location on startup.
· Forced Location Updates: Will enable GPS location on devices that do not get a GPS signal such as WiFi only iPads.
· Show joystick: Self-explanatory. Note that the compass at the top right corner must be set to north (at the 12 o'clock position) for the joystick movements to match those on the screen. The joystick will not appear unless fake location is turned on.
· Joystick Delta: Edit to move the joystick Y up (+) or down (-), X left or right.
· Dismiss map on “Walk here": If this is set to on, Poke Go++ 2.0 will close the map after walk here is used in the map screen.
· Enable teleport: This enables the teleport function in the in-game map.
· Dismiss map on “Teleport here": If this is set to on, Poke Go++ 2.0 will close the map after teleport here is used in the map screen.
· Enhanced Throw: Donor + Jailbreak only. Will give great or excellent catch bonuses after the catch randomly. On raid bosses the throw is always excellent.
· Hide Gym Mode Button: Donor Only. When enabled you will no longer see the blue "Gym Mode" button when entering gym mode. To enable gym mode press and hold for 10 seconds on the screen. To get out of gym mode press and hold for another 10 seconds.
· Disable IV Notification: Removes the notification bar at the top of the screen with IV and other information when entering the capture screen for Pokémon.
· Special Pokémon List: Donor + Jailbreak only. Upon game restart this option will rename the Pokémon in your bag to their IV and move set. To disable it toggle it off in settings and restart your game.
· Custom Speed: Set your custom speed with a value of between 0-16. can include decimals. When set change the speed setting until you get to a torso with a head (after Egg speed)
· IV notification length: This sets how long the notification bar will stay around after encountering a Pokémon.
· Show coords button on map: This enables a button in the in-game map that allows you to get the coordinates of where the map pointer is.
· Enable Radar ...: Enable this to allow the option to fetch data for stops, gyms, and Pokémon data for the map.
· Hide ... button: Hides the toggled button from the dropdown menu.
· Coordinates server feed: See the other FAQ for more information.

Teleporting with Poke Go++ 2.0.
For Poke Go++ 2.0, teleporting is not the same as sniping. The sniping function is based on the method above, which is dependent on you having a base location to snipe from, so all your actions are effectively in the same place. Teleporting, on the other hand, could be described as simply moving to and staying at a new location. So, if the latter is what you want, use the teleport function and steps outlined below. You can also use this teleport function on the log-in screen when you are logged out if you would like to log-in directly at a new location.
  1. In settings, turn on fake location on, save location to forever, and enable teleport.
  2. Open the in-game map and find a location you want to teleport to.
  3. Select teleport here.
  4. You will be at your new location - if you want to be safe you can wait out for a time period equivalent to the flight time from your old location to your new location.
  5. A restart of the app is suggested but may not be necessary.
Please note that this is not sniping, but just teleporting. You will likely face an extended soft-ban (after the teleport) before you can do anything in-game. Wait out the soft-ban, which can take a couple of hours - see the timer chart elsewhere in this thread.
Alternatively, if you want to teleport using coordinates:
  1. Set fake location to on and time to save location to forever.
  2. Open the snipe function. Enter your coordinates of choice and continue.
  3. Once at the target destination, force close and restart the app.
NOTE: As should be clear, you teleport at your own risk. Asking if it is safe to do so is asking an impossible question. If you want it to be totally safe, please consider playing legitimately instead.
Does Poke Go++ 2.0 work with the Pokémon Go Plus?
· The Go Plus should work with both JB and non-JB from r27 onwards. The Gotcha will also work.
Does Poke Go++ 2.0 work with the Apple Watch app?
· Currently only spinning stops on the watch works.
· If you are getting the GPS signal not found error or if the joystick doesn't work even after enabling Fake Location and restarting, ensure that your Apple Watch does not have the app installed.
· Support may or may not be included in the future, but most likely not. In our view, this is a luxury feature that most of our users will not be able to take advantage of, and we would rather focus on the other aspects of ++ that all users can use.
Does Poke Go++ 2.0 work with iPhone 5 and lower
· As of r63, 32-bit devices are no longer supported by Niantic's Pokémon Go. Since our tweak is layered onto the Niantic app, this also means that Poke Go++ 2.0 will obviously not work on 32-bit devices.
· 32-bit devices that are no longer supported by Niantic: iPhone 5 and older, iPhone 5C, iPad Mini (First-Gen), iPad (4G and older), iPod Touch (5G and older).
How can I buy coins in PokeGo++ 2.0?
If you are non-JB, you will have to use the official Pokémon Go app. You have three options. One, try using an alternative device with the official app; or Two, do the following on the same device:
  1. Delete PokeGo++ 2.0.
  2. Install the official app and buy coins.
  3. Delete the official app and install PokeGo++ 2.0.
NOTE: This only applies to non-JB users.
IV Checking.
IV on Jailed non-jailbroken devices is a Donor Perk. However, the MITM method works for both jailed and jailbroken iPhones.
What is the coordinates server feed?
Please see the documentation in the #announcements in the Discord.
The coordinates server feed allows Poke Go++ 2.0 to get coordinates from a source. Users can build their own automated list of Pokémon coordinates into the format documented and access these coordinates directly within Poke Go++ 2.0, making for easier sniping. You can choose to load up to 5 URLs if you are a donor, and 1 if you are a free user.
Once a coord list has been loaded, the option will be available when you click on the snipe button, which gives the list of coordinates. Use the crosshairs to snipe Pokémon from the list, and the sniping procedure should follow.
https://knowledge.globalplusplus.com/
Note: You can also create a coords list consisting of favorite teleport locations and use that to keep track of your favorite locations.
Creating and entering a routing path.
Here is a method to create a GPX route for the routing path function. In general terms...
  1. Use http://www.geoplaner.com/ or http://gpxgenerator.com/ and build a route. This site creates GPX files that include elevation, which is good to have.
  2. For efficient looping, make sure you close your loop such that your route returns you to your starting point (the first point is the same as the last point).
  3. Download the WPTs (geoplaner) and open the file in Notepad or generate the GPX (gpxgenerator).
  4. Copy the GPX code you end up with and paste the GPX code into PokeGo++ 2.0's GPX route editor.
  5. Before you start your route, it is probably ideal to make sure you are near your starting point. So, if you are not, you may want to teleport to your starting point.
  6. Click start and observe your avatar walking the route!
As an example, here is a route in Melbourne, AUS. Teleport to -37.81481,144.96896 and use the following GPX code:

What is PokeGo++ 2.0?
· It is a tweak for the Pokemon Go app that is overlaid / attached to the app.
· Bot actions (such as automated spinning and catching) and bot features are therefore not applicable for PokeGo++ 2.0. Bot features are also therefore not necessarily feasible, and what might work with bots may not work with the original Pokémon Go app.
· However, as long as the underlying Pokémon Go app is updated, the tweak is generally not affected by server-side changes.
· As such, we do not depend on the API or hashing keys.
· The tweak allows players to walk their character in-game with a joystick. Additionally, it also includes a IV checker (down at the moment due to Niantic changes within the Pokémon Go app) as well as other features.
· The tweak is based on the original Pokémon Go Anywhere / Pogo++ tweak.
Remember, folks: This is a third-party tweak. You use it at your own risk - so please don't ask if it is safe because we cannot guarantee it is 100% safe - and besides, what exactly is safe? All we can tell you is that we have users who have been using this or its predecessor for a long time with no issues, but keep in mind that past performance is not necessarily indicative of future performance. Choose your own risk level - if you want it to be completely safe, maybe you should play legitimately instead. Similarly, asking if the new update is safe or not makes no sense.
Please also note that the tweak is provided as-is. We cannot guarantee that it will work flawlessly, and though we will do our best to help, there may be circumstances where we are unable to.
What are the buttons in the in-game map?
· Locate (bottom left): Focuses the map on your character's current location.
· Nearby Pokémon scanner list (bottom right): Brings up a list of nearby Pokémon that you can choose to move to. You can filter this in the top right of the list screen.
· Walk here / Teleport here: self-explanatory. Teleport here only appears if it is set to on in the settings menu.
· Favorite locations (black globe, top right): You can save your current map locations to favorites here with the plus sign at the top right. An import list where coordinates of your favorite locations can be typed in is also available.
· Teleport to coordinates (below favorite locations): Teleport setting required. This allows you to teleport to a set of coordinates.
· Coordinates of location on map (below teleport to coordinates): This button brings up the coordinates of the map pointer. These coordinates can be copied.
· Map data fetch (last of the four on the right): Work in progress. Click to fetch map data from server.
· Radar settings (gear, top right): These are settings for the map, see below.
The radar settings are as follows:
· Favorite Pokémon: Set favorite Pokémon to display on the right-hand side when they appear near you.
· Common Pokémon: Set common Pokémon to hide on the right-hand side when they appear near you.
· Restore Purchases: Ignore this, please.
· Pokestops: Shows Pokestops around you on the map.
· Gyms: Shows gyms around you on the map. Click the gyms to see gym's prestige and top Pokémon.
· Hide Common: Hide the common Pokémon selected in the Common Pokémon settings.
· Show Only Favorite: Set to show only the favorite Pokémon’s selected in the Favorite Pokémon settings.
· Show Distance, Show Time, Show Timer instead of Time: These affect the Pokémon displayed on the in-game map.
We recommend limiting the number of types of Pokémon to show. Showing all the Pokémon can lead to crashes due to the large amount of processing power and memory it might require.
If you see Pokémon appear on the map, the outer rings of the icons indicate the IV level of the Pokémon. If the ring is gray, the IV is unknown. The IVs increase from red to blue, with light blue being 100%.
